Bronze - Leicester Beer Festival 2008 (Porter And Stout Category) Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.
Pours nicely, a dark brown/black colour with a retaining head.
Smells chocolatey and malty, very pleasant indeed.
The taste starts of with some dark malt, and burnt notes which continue all the way through, and finishes with a mild bitterness on the palate.
Overall a classic porter, not as heavy as a stout yet with the same sort of flavours, resulting in a most quaffable pint. A good example of the style.
