Once a year during the mad hop harvest, we take 100 pounds of choice Yakima hops on the day they're picked and brew a beer for the ages. This year we harvested Equinot Hops from Carpenter Ranches for their outstanding flavor and aroma. The result: A crisp and refreshing Pale Ale with a pleasant hop presence that nudges the nose, tickles the taste buds, and has a fantastically fresh finish!

Icicle Brewing's Fresh Hop Pale Ale
This is a local favorite for a reason. A must drink if you get a chance. Fall in central WA is all about the hops and this Pale gets it right by using yakima grown Citra hops and balancing all that aroma with just enough bittering and malt backbone to keep me coming back for more.
Appearance- Burnt yellow with slight clouding. Good head and lacing.
Smell- Big citrus and slight pine aromas, fresh, delicious. Slight malt sweetness detectable.
Taste- This pale ale is all about the fresh citra hop flavor. Delicate malt balances the freshness and keeps the beer light and drinkable. Starts out awash in fresh hoppiness and mellows to a gentle dryness. Sweetness from the malt appears on second taste. Finishes clean and crisp.
Feel- Light to medium bodied, small and abundant CO2 bubbles, full mouthfeel.
Finish – crisp but not dry and light with pine tingling in the nose, very fresh
Overall – Great fresh hop pale ale.
