Had at Icicle Brewing Co. in Leavenworth, WA. Dark robust brown in color with a tan head that lingers. Smells of coffee and coconut with some dark chocolate as well. Tastes the same with big coconut punch for the finish. Really does taste like a german chocolate cake in a beer form. Very interesting. Coconut tasted more like an extract for how prominent it was. Good beer to try, definately couldn’t drink two as it would be a little rich.

Bottle served in a tulip. Pours black with a shirt tan head that quickly dissipates. Taste is much as advertised, chocolate with coconut. The coconut is like, but detectable. A very good dessert beer.

Not a real dark fan, but have to admit I could definitely drink more than one of these!

Good beer in small doses, I don't say this often but a little to rich and overly chocolatey.

Draft pour - a real dessert beer. Very rich chocolate character. It was described by the server as candy-like, and that is no lie. It is delicious, but save for after dinner.

I had this on tap at Icicle Brewing as well as at Munchen Haus. I was impressed with this beer, and it definitely tasted like German Chocolate, very tasty. I purchased a couple of 22s to take home and share. I would purchase and drink this if it showed up in Bellingham.

I bought a growler of Dark Persuasion German Chocolate Ale at JB's in Spokane for New Year's. Poured in to a pint glass.

Pours a dark walnut color, with garnet red hues when held up to the light. Frothy tan head.

Smell is a faint sweet aroma, dark fruit scents like raisins and dates.

Taste is very German chocolate, ans sweet cocoanut flavor up front, with a bitter charcaol flavor along side and then a sweet milk chocolate finish.

Mouthfeel is light to medium body, in keeping with the porter style.

Overall a very tasty and really quite session able brew. I'd have it again.
