La Cimoise Blonde, beer bottle (33 cl.), tasted in 2011.

Appearance : golden color, with white foamy head (not persistent).
Smell : grassy and malts aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : malty flavours, with light bitter finish.
Drinkability : an average beer in the style Pale Lager.

Almost no head on a very pale color. This beer looks like apple juice or iced tea. The smell is enjoyable, very fruity with peaches and apples. Peaches and apples appear in the taste too, with a malty aspect of watery caramel. The first impression is fruity and iodated and then I got an impression of a sugar free iced tea. The spicy and floral hoppiness is quite discrete and takes time to appear, after the fruitiness is gone. The mouthfeel is round but gets dry on the end. A slightly higher level of carbonation (and a decent head) would make that beer better.
