Was in the area on a weekday afternoon and decided to check it out. I'd heard of the myriad problems with this place when they openened (high prices, sketchy service, inavailability of beers) and was curious to check it out.
I like the space - very open. Seems like a comfortable place to hang out for a while. Was greeted quickly by a friendly bartender.
Took a peek at the beer list - decent selection of US crafts and beers from abroad. But WOW is this place pricey, even by Lord Hobo and other Camberville standards. $8 for .5L of Weinhenstephaner Hefe? $7 Pretty Things Jack D'or? $7 Mayflower? Eesh. At least I think they were only out of about 6 tap offerings.
Was a warm day and in the mood for a hefe, so I made the $8 splurge. Beer tasted OK, but the cost of it distracted me too much.
Chalked up my losses and moved on to Cambridge Brewing Company. Probably won't return here unless somebody else insists on it (& buys the overpriced beer too).

One of the better craft beer bars in Cambridge. Over 100+ beers on tap I am always pleased that they continue to serve fresh beer. They sometimes offer discounted beers...which is how I suspect they move the slow movers in a category and keep the beer fresh.
The food is good with a lite fair menu before 5 PM and a full menu from 5-9 PM. They make a great burger, and the beef tartar (raw ground beef served with bread and onions) is not something you find at most bars..!
There is an upstairs that is good for private parties.

I stopped here with family to have beers and dinner. Until our table reservation was ready we sat at the bar. Impressive! Over 100 taps with very good brewery selections for American craft beers as well as good imports. The bartenders had good knowledge about every beer that we asked about, and with this many taps that is very appreciated. I Don't typically like the vibe in a place with high ceilings like they have here, but I discovered when walking upstairs that there is a different vibe in the mezzanine area that would be more cozy.
The beers that we had were all fresh tasting, so regardless of the number of taps and what could have the potential to be some slow movers among the group to cause some old beers, that does not seem to be the situation here.
Our food selections were very tasty, so kudos to the kitchen folks too. When we're back in town to visit family again we'll definitely stop to enjoy the outstanding selection of beers here.
