While living in this part of town last year, this was my go to spot for high alc beer. They regularly carry Ommegang, Terrapin, Sierra Nevada, Oskar Blues, Stone, Rogue amongst others.

Like mentioned by generalnotsew, the quality/freshness can be a bit suspect here(a problem with most stores in this area.) For example, they still quite a lot of Celebration Ale in stock at full price. Their Ruination was just barely past its best by date. The 90 Minute in stock was fresh however.

I've never been proactively approached by an employee here, but to be honest, it's not something I mind. The people at the register are always nice.

Overall, don't make a special trip for Bluegrass, but if you live in this part of town, it ought to be a regular stop for you.

Where do I start with this place? Well for one they have greatly improved their selection and have taken it out of hiding. They have a nice juicy spot in the middle of the floor in front of one of the shelves with the usual suspects. DFH, Stone, Sierra Nevada and Terrapin. They have a good selection of odds and ends as well as some odd stuff you can't find past Nashville. The employees have no clue about beer. They sometimes don't even realize they have a certain beer til you ask them and they walk in the back and find it. Freshness is a HUGE problem here! I swear to you they still have a 2 four packs for Gordon that I know is about 5 years old. Poor things have been through hell. At one point they were thrown into a shopping cart with other cheap liquor at a discount and now they are back on the shelf. Anyways pricing is mostly good but they do get carried away with higher abv beers. But I must say the selection is the best between Nashville and Gallatin.
