Appears a hazy, copper toned amber with a small white head that slowly fades into a gentle collar. Scattered bits of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of herbs, cut wood, flowers, and grapefruit. Touch of dankiness in there.
Taste is of the aromas with an earthy, mineral, and caramel note with some freshly cracked grain. Pretty yummy stuff. Very balanced with a hearty maltiness there.
Mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with some hop resin and sugary malt lingering in the swallow.

A: Ice tea color pour has a sturdy beige 1 finger frothy head that was resilient in its stay. Thick milky lacing lines the vessel. Dense clarity with indistinguishabile effervesce.

S: Fresh grapefruit, citrus with a herbaceous scent of oregano and woodsy scent of thyme. Decent level of delivery, sweet fresh caramel.

T: Dry toasted malt base with a dry bitterness of flowery citrus. Woodsy with herbaceous hop hints are dry and bitter of medium intentions. Intermittent flashes of malt sweetness with herbal ice tea notes. Leaves with some residual maltiness and dry pine bitterness.

M: Medium body, malty with not much carbonation.

O: A pretty popular choice, a year in the half in trying to match my travel with release. One that seems to be in popular demand and heavy rotation though i personally prefer the grapefruit league ipa over this. Malty with a dry lingering citrus/pine bitterness, growler worthy.

On tap at the brewpub earlier tonight. Served in a pint glass, paired with a black and blue burger.

Didn't see the actual pour, but the glass arrived with minimal head remaining. Ended up leaving decent lacing as I drank.

This is a solid, if unspectacular, American IPA. Color was a little on the dark end of the IPA spectrum, not quite amber. Smelled and tasted of good old American 'C' hops with a strong, but unobtrusive backbone holding it up. I'd order it again without hesitation.

On tap at Turkey Hill on 5/15/11.

A - Clear amber/orange liquid with a fluffy white head that reduced to a thin, patchy veil but deposited lots of delicate, bubbly lacing around the glass. Head flared back up with each swirl of the glass.

S - Floral hop characer with a hint of citrus fruit. Hop aroma is pretty mild, though, and balanced by light toasted grains and sweet caramel malt as well as a hint of alcohol.

T - Balanced flavor blends floral and citrus hops with sweet malt, toasted grains and a hint of mild perfume. Finishes with mild hop bitterness.

M - Smooth and creamy mouthfeel with modest carbonation and faint oily hop residue. Finish is semi-dry with mild bitterness on the palate.

D - Fine IPA that's not crazy on hops but rather all about balance between the hops and malt. Pretty light and drinkable for a 7% IPA.

A-Bright dark copper with a medium off-white head that slowly reduced to a thin cap and left decent lace.

S-Fairly bright citrus hop notes with a touch of spiciness in the background. Malt bill of light caramel and toasted biscuit add well deserved balance.

T-Citrusy hop pop up front with a mild spicy herbal bite in support. The malt bill balances nicely but leaves this one hop forward in the end. Grapefruit rind bitterness in the drying finish.

M-Medium bodied, fairly sharp and crisp with a pleasant lingering hop bite.

D-A nicely done, well balanced, yet hop forward IPA made for the craft lover and those exploring craft in mind. Nothing mind blowing here but a solidly made, easy drinking and enjoyable brew.

A- Pours and slightly dark amber ale with a.thick head and heavy even lace.

S- Smell of hops and citrus note.

T-Taste bitter from the hops with a slight herbal warmth from spices with a grapfruitty finish.

M- semi dry with a herbal and citrus feel.

D- This is a solid beer. Well worth a try ....

Cheers.
