a light pale ale type taste as the base, designed to make the chilli's stand-out as the star.
For chilli lovers and those with who like hot foods this an excellent beer. I don't have a great tolerance for hot foods so not my type of beer as it does pack a punch and you can definitely feel the burn at the back of your throat after each big sip.
Overall, a chilli beer done very well for the style

Drank on tap at Matso's Broome
A - Pours a slightly Amber Golden coour witha white fluffy head that dies real quick.
S - Not much except some small grains.
T - Small grains up fornt before the chilli kicks in and dominates
M - Light body and full carbonation.
O - Not sure how to rate this beer, the chilli dominates but that is what to expect of this beer. If you don't like chilli then give it a miss.

330ml bottle. BB 2015. Pours a pale straw colour and didn’t even attempt to form a head. Aroma of sweet white wine. Initial mouthful gives you a belt of chilli heat. Subsequent drinks reveal some sweet light grain but it’s all dominated by the lingering chilli burn. Very thin, watery body. For those that love chilli, this is for you. For those that love beer, avoid like the plague.

Bottle: slim 330mL brown bottle with a typically stylish and well drawn Matso's label
Appearance: pours quite pale yellow with fine carbonation. Not much in the way of head - just a quick burst that drops to a small ring around the glass.
Aroma: not a big fan of the aroma I have to admit - smells lightly of lager grain with some awkward chilli on top.
Taste: wow! The chilli certainly dominates here, that's for sure. Quite spicy, but really not all that much behind it. Perhaps a touch of malt and grain, but mostly just chilli, which is fair enough.
Aftertaste: the sting hangs about for a time, which is fine. It does seem a bit awkward.
Mouth feel: A pretty decent mouth feel - light- to- moderate in body with a fair bit of carbonation to carry the flavour through.
Overall: I have to admit I was not a big fan of this beer. That is taking into account of course that it was my first chilli beer, so perhaps I simply have to get used to the style.

Clear straw colour. No head. Average.
Very lightly sweet as in a poor lager. Touches of floral chilli.
Despite being a wheat beer it tastes like a crap lager infused with Thai chillies. Crisp and light but the chilli just sits there.
Light body with moderately-high carbonation. Sharp.
A spicy ale. The chilli clearly dominates. Works well as a beer to blend with the mango beer but alone it is average at best.
