Sitting around the kitchen table during our start-up days, the need for a sessionable beer became clear. Our first intern actually came up with the idea to brew a cream ale, so we started designing the recipe. As with all Castle Danger beers, we start with a flavor profile, then expand upon it to create something unique. Castle Cream is our version of a cream ale. Deep gold in color, it has a soft malty aroma, slightly sweet creamy texture with a balanced bitterness, while finishing smooth and clean.

My favorite beer I’ve ever had. It’s flavorful, smooth and pairs well with almost any food.

Excellent "live" beer that is super smooth. Wish it was in bottles. Better for your health.

12oz can canned 7/14/21 into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours clear clear gold caramel amber with an eggshell white creamy 1+ finger head. Good retention. Medium-low carbonation. Minimal random lacing with some banding.
S: Malts, wild flowers, caramel, sweet bread, mild banana.
T: Malty, toffee, grain, dark honey, butterscotch candy, yellow sweet bread. Mild hop bitterness in it's finish. It is lightly sweet and has a slight nutty aura with mild bitterness lingering.
F: Lightly crisp then plush, soft, CREAMY, medium-bodied mouthfeel with an overall medium-length finish.
O: This beer has a wealth of flavor and is rich with malt. It is very smooth drinking and clean tasting with some hop bitterness at the end. Excellent flavor in this Cream Ale. It is brilliant in it's style.

This is a super solid little cream ale I picked up in northern Minnesota on vacation this past week. A lot of biscuit note and easy grassy hops. I can see why this has a following. Solid and drinkable on the western shore of Superior.
