The ladies describe this as an American Mild, but without that category I think this is the closest. Poured into nonic pint glass at taproom.

A- Deep mahogany color with almost purple, reddish tints. Has a cm of head, quickly leaving the table, presenting an almost still liquid to be drank. Nothing wrong here, looks just like a mild should.

S- Has a very deep woody aroma with strong sweet malt components. Hints of coconut, bubblegum, and some ethanol. Finishes with some out of place frutier type esters that aren't awesome, but don't detract too much.

T/M- Very decent mild backbone with some nice rye earthiness and charred wood. Great balance. Has some sweetness from bubblegum with touches of vanilla. A deeply molasses and nutty profile behind all the nuances. Really nice balance of every aspect. Medium body with a little carbonation, slick feel.

O- Probably my favorite Jackalope beer behind Thunder Ann, though I haven't quite had them all. Not sure how long it sat in the barrel, and I don't know much about spirits, but I think it gave a nice complexity and earthy depth. Would drink again for sure!
