Notes/Commercial Description:
Thunder Ann came about after a massive google search trying to come up with a name that we thought could represent our American Pale Ale. That’s how we found out about a little lady name Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind Crockett. She was Davy Crockett’s wife (well, in the folklore, according to Wikipedia, he married someone named Mary) and she was a bad ass. Seriously. Look her up. We mulled it over and thought that Thunder Ann could also be a pretty great name for a beer.

No freshness date, poured into a pint

A- pours a slightly hazy amber color with a two-finger foamy and sudsy head that retains nicely long after the pour

S- nice hoppy aroma with notes of pine, citrus and floral hops. Underlying malty sweetness adds a touch of bready aroma

T- well balanced with some fruity hop notes, lightly toasted bready malt, slightly bitter finish

M- medium body with lots of carbonation leads to a big foamy mouthfeel and a sudsy and crisp dry finish

O- enough noticeable fruity hops, but well balanced to keep it in check for the style

Very nice beer. Found under local brews category at The Beer Seller in Nashville.
Hazy color, beautiful amber color, mild head, sweet, hoppy but not flowery. Very nice beer

Slight rings down the glass as it empties. People addicted to the head (the part that you don't drink ) might complain, but dont let it bother you.
Hazyness reminds me of a homebrew, but a great homebrew. I highly recommend you try one if you have a chance to try.

I had the Thunder Ann as art of a flight in a restaurant in Nashville. It had the same coloring as the two IPAs I tasted, too. The smell was unremarkable - it just smelled like fresh, drinkable beer.

It's very drinkable and has a great mouthfeel that lingers for a surprising long time (which I liked). I could drink a few of these without tiring of it and would be quite happy. I would order it again, no doubt. That said, it didn't blow me away, but that's okay, too. It's very Summit Pale Ale like... Sierra Nevada PA, too.

A: Pours well, light but balanced white head. Crisply carbonated. Has a drinkable look for hot weather while still retaining a nice fair dark color in terms of APA's. Coppery in color.

S: Smells of citrus and pine. A nice combo of oaky yet refreshing.

T: Crisp in flavor. Pine and yeasty aftertaste the middle citrus, makes for a comfortable sip. Aftertaste is classic APA standard of slightly bitter but refreshing.

M: Hoppy feel, right in the middle of it's APA label. Crispy citrus hops, feels like cascades.

O: I am a sucker for a good APA, this is definitely up there in terms of drinkability for humid, TN summers. Not as hoppy as some, hoppier than others. Right in the APA wheelhouse. It's a constant in my fridge.
