Pours with a nice off white head on top of a murky copper. There is a suspension of sediment throughout this beer. It is cloudy, but more like pouring some dirt in the glass. Not the prettiest looking beer.
The smell is utterly hoppy. Grapefruit and pine all the way, with more than a hint at the bitterness to come. This has a really strong aroma, I can smell it from about two feet away. Dig it!
On the first sip it pimp slaps you with bitterness. Straight up, in your face, the bitterness hits. It is juicy with definitely grapefruit and pine, just like the smell. The bitterness lingers long after the beer has been set down. Not at the IIPA level, but this is a pumped up IPA. Seriously, this bitterness really lingers a while.
The mouthfeel is a little chewy, a little slick and very smooth. Drinkable to the max, but don't expect your taste buds to notice subtley after a couple of these.
Picked up a sixer after all the Ganesh controversy. There entire line up is pretty good, this is no exception. A decent IPA, but for a northwest IPA, it doesn't meet the extremely stiff competition.
