From a bottle into pint glass at Bent River Brewing Co in Moline, IL. From the $2 cooler behind the bar. Took a while to warm enough to drink, having been buried in ice. There were some other tempting options in that cooler for that nice price.
Huge white head, wicked retention and enduring lacing. Copper colored.
Strong grapefruity hoppy nose up front, with some malt sneaking in. pretty one dimensional and not much legs.
Malt and citrusy hops battle for attention, balancing each other before a modestly bitter finish.
Medium bodied, not overly carbonated, pleasantly mild dryish finish.
Mostly balanced, not too heavy. A pretty good beer, but not inspiring or especially memorable.
