On tap at coffee district in delray.

Now this was a surprise. I hadn't tried this before, was watching the man utd game and wanted something to wet my whistle. What a fantastic DIPA this is. Tons and tons of grapefruit and pine on the nose of this, neither was overpowering though. Amazing lacing on the glass as i drank this one. Great mouthfeel to this, going down just tons of citrus popping out of this. Wasn't going to have a second beer that early in the day but had to, this was great. Hopefully i can find some bottles of this locally, not sure though.

This growler got filled a long way from Eureka, California in Mentor, Ohio. I got the end of one keg and the beginning of another.

My impression in the store was that it was a much tamer double than it really is. I was surprised about the alcohol content. It is well hidden by wonderfully balanced hops (not over the top) and nice malty flavors. It has a creamy texture and goes don nicely without any bite. It's a bit light on carbonation and that's fine. The color is pretty and it is not clear.

Overall this is a fine AIPA that I would love to buy again.

This kicked me in the mouth. I wasn't prepared for the hops in this one, even though I knew it was a double IPA.
Strong dark copper color with a minimal head. Golden tones and a little ruby shimmer in the glass.

Smelled of citrus and sweet malt. Not very sharp hop smell, but very smooth and fruity.

I took a sip, strong amber and toasted malt flavors first off, then an overwhelming bitterness from the hop content. That releases to let the malt and citrus flavor of the hops come through. Very surprisingly bitter, but gets more palatable as I got further through the pint.

This is a great sipping beer, and if you like IPA's or double/imperial IPA's, this is recommended.

on tap @ San Diego Brewing Company

A- dark auburn and straw with a 1 finger, frothy white head, great retent, thin bubbly lace, very pretty brew

S- citrus, bit soapy, strong citrus rind, fresh, malty butterscotch

T- spicy with some alcoholic present at finish, some butterscotch throughout, nice mellow balance in middle with the hops intensifying toward the finish, citrus, some tartness and heat

M- medium body, sticky finish, slight heat in after, starts smooth and gets coarse toward end

D- warms well, awesome 2IPA, another great example of the west coast and their hop magic

poured a nice caramel orange colour, with medium amounts of head. Nice lacing the entire glass

Smelled citrus, pines nad slight caramel

Tasted great, the Hops and the citrus hits you up front, with the malt and caramel giving it the backbone

Good mouthfeel, not too gassy

Drinks well, but pretty potent

Had on tap at the Pizza Plant on Transit last night, poured into a small snifter style glass a full rich copper color with a slight chill haze a small but well formed head atop.A mix of juicy sweet malt and intense piney hop the sweetness is dark fruit and caramel there is a bit of a alcohol zing in the nose a s well, the flavors are alot like the aromas rich and sweet up front with that dark fruit and caramel sweet base about midway an intense resiny pine hop character comes thru and lingers for quite awhile. Its a bit heavy even after just a few swallows but the flavors a full and take no prisoners,a nice new DIPA to enjoy out there.

On-tap at JP McGrady's in Bethlehem

This one is on the thick side. The hops are big and brash, yet balanced enough to be drinkable. They come off with a candied (from the malt) citrus zest with hints of pine and earthy spice that hit you strong in the aroma, through the flavor and long into the aftertaste. There's also a strong light-caramel malt flavor. It's nice, but more than I'd want in a DIPA. The same goes for the body. It's smooth enough, but just thicker than I'd want, especially for an 8.5% beer.

Definitely the best beer I've had by them. Had this on tap at Uber Tavern in Seattle. Poured a hazy light orange with a good creamy head that fades to a cap. Great lacing. It almost spells like it is spiced with cinnamon up-front. Its atarts with a big, spicy, orange peel aromas to start and changes to grapefruit pith by the end. Taste has big grapefruit, orange, and cinnamon spice flavors. A tad thinner in body than I'd like but big and smooth. Very nice.

Tried this for the first time at Hops in Humboldt 2007 in Fortuna today. Being a great fan of Indica IPA I had high hopes for this one. It looks a lot like Indica with a rich copper hue and off-white head and wonderful lacng. Look fabulous in the glass. .Nose was hoppy but fairly mild but really nice to savor. Malts with fruit overtones, and citrus hops wash across the nose. Good rich mouthfeel. Flavors of tropical fruits set off fhe hoppy bitterness well. Nice long bitter finish. Every bit as good as Indica. I am going to take my growler down so I can blind taste test it against Indica.

Growler fill at Consumers Beverage in Buffalo, great reward shared with my homeboy Chris after a long day of beer pilfering.

Pours a clear orange/amber, brilliant, huge white head, very thick, massive lace on the glass, good retention. Smell is solid, nice caramel malt, big floral hops, citrus, some pineapple, well balanced. Taste is similar, very solid malty base, caramel, bready, then big pine and floral, touch of citrus, hint of alcohol, well balanced bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low to medium carbonation, super smooth and alcohol is very well hidden. Not a crazy DIPA but super drinkable, well done!

On tap at Underground Bluz in Orlando, FL.

Pours a nice orangish/amber color with about a finger of head. The head held up pretty well and provided decent lacing.

Smell is hops and citrus, sweet and inviting. You sniff and you want to take a gulp.

Nice hop bite in the front, decent amount of bitterness throughout the swallow, clean finish without any alcohol burn.

Full bodied, medium carbonation, very smooth and creamy.

Very drinkable for the style. I could have easily downed a couple more of these.
