Tap@Lost Coast, May 2004. Glace cheery sweetness, with a decent brown ale to back it up, don’t like the rasberry sweetness, mixed with the sweetness of the Brown Ale, it just becomes a bit one dimensionally sweet. Some aromatic hops in the finish, but this is mostly about the glace cherry flavours. A bit odd.

Pours reddish-brown with ½ inch of khaki head that settles into a light film atop the beer. Good lacing.

Smell is primarily raspberry with toasty caramel bringing up the rear.

Taste follows the smell: raspberry, caramel and malt.

Very smooth and drinkable. Medium carbonation.

This is a solid brown ale with raspberry flavor added. Simplicity at it's finest.

Hazy brown with one finger of light tan head. Head goes fairly soon and good amount of lacing.
Smell is big blast of raspberries. Later a bit of chocolate malt aroma.
Taste is raspberries immersed in a pretty decent Brown Ale. The raspberries dominate but the chocolate comes on after a few sips. There is some hop bitterness that helps beat down the fruity sweetness.
Mouthfeel is a bit thin like most beers of this style. Carbonation is low but fine for this beer. Easy drinking for sure. Bottle date was 6/13/13. Don't know if this is a best by date or brewed on date.
Overall a tasty fruit beer and fine for a warm summer evening which it is today.
