Great little [CLEAN] deli in Havertown with take-out beer.
For being in Havertown, this place has a pretty good selection. They sell 4/6-packs, as well as larger format single bottles. A good selection of local micros. They seem to keep their stock ever-changing and try to get in the newer beers, when they can.
They also just started with beer on tap - 3 to choose from, at the moment. These seem to be changed up pretty often and also seem to stick with local micros (Yards, Dogfish Head, Weyerbacher, PBC, etc)
The owners are very friendly and, noticing that i'm in there pretty frequently to buy beer, have started asking which beers i'd like to see them stock and seem to take my opinions very seriously. It's good when owners seek out customer satisfaction and opinions.

The prices are a little on the high side, but it also the only place in Havertown to have a lot of the beers they sell, and the only place I know of that sells single bottles that AREN'T 40oz malt beverages or BMC brands.

Also, being a deli, they sell hoagies, steak sandwiches, etc - most of the stuff you would be able to find in a deli. Can't really rate them on their food since the only thing i've had there to eat is their reuben sandwich, which is good because I keep coming back for it.

We've known Boccella's under several managements, and this is the best incarnation yet. They always have interesting beers on tap to drink while you wait (we never call ahead) and a fairly good selection to browse for take out. You can also get growlers filled. The food is always good, and it can't be overstated that this is a take-out food place, with really good beer as well. They seem to put a lot of thought into what's on tap (usually pretty seasonal). We go quite regularly.

I first discovered this place about a year and a half ago. It only took me about a month to become a regular here. I go to boccella's at least once or twice a week. Usually me and my girlfriend grab some sandwiches and a six pack.

First off, the people that run this place are awesome. They are very friendl, and the one guy is very knowledgeable about the beer that is available there - and there is a lot of beer available. I do my best to try something new every time I go in, and its pretty easy since they always change up what they sell. I can always get something from victory, dogfish head, or pretty much any north eastern craft brewery. What I'm most impressed with is the selection of larger bottled beers. They have some rather obscure and hard to fine beers available, including beers from The Lost Abby, Port Brewing company, Ommegang, and some of the harder to fine special releases from Stone. If you're low on money or simply just wanna tie one on with as little effort as possible they have your stander selection of forties and other high ABV malt beverages.

The food is just as good as the beer selection. It has all of the items you would expect to find on a deli menu. They have a lot of creative sandwiches which is great for me as I don't really like hoagies...having said that their hoagies are amazing. My favorite menu items are the grilled flyers panini and the chicken cordon bleu. All of the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. I can't say I've ever been disappointed.

Over all this place nails it. The one thing I have noticed is that some of the beer is a bit pricey. Especially the four packs, which can run over 15 bucks. However the food is pretty inexpensive for how good it is. If you live in the Havertown area you need to check this place out.

When I first moved to Havertown in 2006, Bocella's was a good spot to pick up a 12 pack on Yuengling to go with pizza on a Friday night. Over the last few years, they have really improved their beer selection. As such, I'm a pretty regular customer.

I've never actually eaten here, but Boccella's is clean and looks like every other Delaware County deli. The people who own the store are incredibly friendly and though they aren't the most knowledgable people in the world when it comes to beer, their willingness to help is always appreciated.

The selection is pretty good...Bell's, Victory, Harpoon, Dogfish Head, Weyerbacher. They also occassionally feature large format beers from across the country. I was pretty surprised to see Lost Abbey on the shelf in a Delco deli. The latest addition is a growler station. Last time I was in the three choices were Yuengling, Stella, and Dogfish 90 Minute...not a terrible lineup and definitely more than expected.

Yes, the prices are high. You're paying a premium for buying six packs without having to go into a bar or drive to Whole Foods or Wegman's. I don't really mind the prices as I can always find something nice to drink and interact with the friendly employees.
