The micropub is the local breweries downtown spot. The name micropub is quite apt as it is tiny inside with room for about 12 people at most. This is better in the summer with the outside seating but during the winter it is quite crowded in there.
The beer selection is pretty good with about 7 or 8 taps about 5 or 6 are Iron Horse selections and the other 2 are guest taps from other NW breweries or occasionally breweries not in the NW. Also every Monday they have pilot batches on cask for $3.00. For those not into beer they also have a selection of NW wines so if you are with someone who doesn't like beer they can drink as well. Also you can get growlers filled there if you want to take some home with you.
The service is good, they are very friendly and seem knowledgeable about the beers on tap.
They do not serve any food except for some trail mix, but they do have menus of places around town that deliver food and there is a great pizza place next door you can go to.
Overall this is good spot to grab a beer and hang out. The service is friendly, the beer is good and thanks to the guest taps the only place in Ellensburg where you can get variety for beers on tap. (1,186 characters)
