On-tap. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on agt´12. Mahogany color, deep ruby to thelight. Light beige froth creates a close, nearly creamy crown. Good retention. Roasted malt & pepper to the nose, hoppy notes. Creamy maltiness at first sip with hints of licorice. Full body. Soft carbonation. Oily texture. Bitter cocoa & dried nuts in the middle, licorice hues as well, linger into a long bitter & burnt finish. Hops on the aftertaste. Easy drinkable & refreshing beer.

Pours black with a dark brown nuance, nice tan head, a bit frothy, receding to a bubbly cap and thick sticky lacing.
Chocolate, peppercorn, licorice, dry fig, roasted malts with faint espresso in the smell.
A dark fruity start, juicy, plum and fig, with some subtle citrus. Some roasted malts start to cover it up, lacking the chocolate, trying to make up for it with a bit of dusty cocoa powder, but pretty faint because of the burnt malt. Licorice, bitter citrus peel and some faint nutmeg, with the black pepper (laying low at first) starting to pinch bit by bit, never too aggressive, but bringing a nice warmth in the finish. Which is bitter with roast and a nice hop presence.
Light to medium bodied, same as the carbonation, with the pepper bringing that extra prickly feel to round things up. It also lingers in the aftertaste, alongside big roasted malts and a generous amount of hop.
Surprisingly refreshing, a nice hoppy roasty offering with an enriching spicy addition from Elav. Good stuff.

Almost black, some dark mahogany edge. Beautiful beige head.
Toasty and fresh hoppy smell, grassy, with light earthly notes.
The pepper is well present, delicate on the toastiness, pleasant. Light spicy, with even some light citrus note, pleasant.
Same notes in the taste, pleasantly peppery.
Some liquorice in the aftertaste too, and a gain a good finishing peppery note.
