When pouring from the big can, the foam was light wheat in color and dissapated quickly. The color was light gold yellow. The smell had a sence of high gravity (which there is). The smell was also deep, hops overtone with a hint of wheat and a hint of floral. The taste was heavy, dull and hight gravity hops. Mouthfeel - heavy and full-bodied. Drinkability - it would be good if it weren't for the dominate high gravity feel.

Steel Reserve 211 is one of the few mainstream malt liquors I have yet to review; in a 40oz bottle nonetheless. Let's set this one on fire.

Appearance - Clear, light amber with a pure-white head.

Smell - Smells of malt and strong, looming alcohol. Almost ominous, as if it's slowly approaching your body in the darkest of ways.

Taste - Tastes precisely like a malt liquor, with heavy malt character, cheap grain, and alcohol that packs an identifiable sting. This isn't as pungent as Camo Silver Ice but not as smooth and almost refreshing as Colt 45 or King Cobra. It's a middling offering, but it does its job, which means it gets substantial credit.

Mouthfeel - Crisp (!), clean, and leaves its alcohol all over your mouth to remind you what you just did.

Appearance – Shiny yellow in color with a pure white head. The head showed a bit of retention but looked kind of cheap.

Smell – The grainy aroma was sharp and mixed with alcohol. I could pick up a faint floral hopping and some musty notes as well.

Taste – Not as bad as I thought, but nowhere near good. The grain mellows a bit, making this one almost drinkable. The sweet finish is kind of nasty but, again, not as bad as others.

Mouthfeel – There was some light, cheap carbonation to this one but otherwise the mouthfeel was boring and on the lighter side of medium-bodied. I will say though that it was smoother than most other efforts from the macro malt liquor industry.

Drinkability – Was it drinkable? Well, it was borderline. I managed to get about a third of the way through the can when my wife called out from the kitchen, “Do you want half of this Ruination?” I couldn’t dump it down the sink fast enough.

What, no category for tall boy? 24 oz of this bad boy and I was on my way to...to the bathroom.

Golden brown and bubbly. No head but a lot of headache.

The can says 28 days. I don’t know if that means aged 28 days, less than 28 days old or that they milked an Albanian hobo’s bladder for 28 days to get this stuff.

Once when I was 18 I went to Milwaukee to hang out with some older friends and they bought me a 4 pack of this junk. I woke up on North 25th Street.

The can says high gravity. That must refer to the immense gravitational pull on my bladder after drinking a can.

This beer tastes a lot like Lake Michigan tastes in Milwaukee after a tremendous rain storm.

The big Steel Reserve 211. I had to try this one.

A- Starts with a very clean foamy head (about a half inch), that drops quickly to barely anything. No lacing at all. A pure straw yellow the color.
Note: After beer warm up it leaves minimal lacing... not bad.

S- Smells like any other macro beer out there. Differences are light but it has a yeasty smell along with corn and alcohol.

T- Taste is decent for a malt liquor. At first is a very dry flavor of malt and corn sweetness. Second is the bite of possibly hops or just the alcohol finish.

M- This beer literally rolls over the tongue and skips the lingering in the mouth, alcohol really has no bad effect on the mouthfeel.

D- I could drink this... only when i was in the mood for getting drunk. But for a malt liquor not bad.
Note: Good beer for the price of being buzzed.

Steel Reserve is the ultimate in malt liquer's. If you want to get messed up real bad and real quick, take one or two of these 24's down and you'll be feeling good! This is definantly a drink to be consumed when ice cold, otherwise suffer the concequences. Like a previous reviewer said, when it warms up it does taste kind of like a rum and coke, only a stale one! I had a couple of these before my math class last semester and let's just say I did not learn much on that day! Anyways, I'd take a Mickey's over this any day but if you wanna get fucked up real quick, this is the ticket

A while back a buddy and I picked up a case of this wanting to try something different. We got home and each tried one.

The appearance was nothing special, but at the same time not the worst.

The smell was not that great it smelled very strongly of alcohol.

The taste was probably the worst thing about it. It tasted so strongly of alcohol that I found myself just kind of gulping it down to get past the taste.

The mouthfeel was kind of thin feeling.

Overall, I would say this beer will do the trick if you are just looking to get drunk. Which after like just 3 of these I was pretty toasty. However if you are looking for a beer to drink and savor,I would not recommend this.

Also, the day after drinking this I had an especially bad hangover.

This is just colt 45 to tthe next level. This is liquored up beer. The taste isnt good to say the least. The only thing that has going for it is the alcohol. It is evident that there are many ways to get alcohol better than this, The only other bost for this is the price. Yes it's dirt cheap. oz for oz it may be one of the cheapest forms of alcohol available in the beer catagory, but that doesent means it's good. The alcohol taste is overpowering of any beer flavor that may be there.

LOL...I had to revisit my high school days when I would scrap some money up and buy a couple 40's of this or some other high octane, low-cost, garbage malt liquor. Very pale color, very well carbonated with not much of a head. Smells of adjuncts and skunk. Tastes of adjuncts and skunk as well with a big alcohol kick. Mouthfeel is watery and very carbonated. Tastes like ass and only good for the broke looking for a buzz.

Presentation: 24 oz sliver can with eye catching fonts and "buy me" wording.

Appearance: Crystal clear light amber golden in colour with a minimal lace formed by a champagne like carbonation.

Smell: Light malt aroma with a faint acidic and noticeable alcoholic nose to follow.

Taste: Medium to full body with a definite crisp carbonation. On the sweet side. Clean slightly stripped malty palate, strong spicy alcohol presence with a trace acidic hoppy twang. Little bit of cooked corn flavour and sweet dextrin from the residual sugar. After taste is very clean with just remnants of the spicy warming alcohol.

Notes: One of the most drinkable malt liquors I have tasted, one of the more alcoholic ones I have run into also. Even when it warms up a bit it does not get ghastly like other malt liquors do.

Cheap and potent.

Definitley on the sweet-side. Occasionally feels like melted caramel in my mouth.

As a kid who grew up on Old English and Schlitz, this is a considerable step above.

Holy Moly this stuff, for the price/category, is drinkable.

Some times you want to get plastered for cheap, and this'll do it better than anything else out there.
