Poured out of a brown 750 mL capped bottle into a small tulip/snifter hybrid. The top of the bottle is dipped in wax for an extra failsafe for keeping the beer fresh. I can't decipher the bottling date code, but the "best buy" date reads March 2013, meaning this can obviously be cellared. I have a second bottle that I'll review to see how it changes over time.
Appearance - A light yellow-orange that is a bit cloudy, making it hard to see the carbonation trails rising from the bottom of the glass. Head is rocky off-white and takes a bit to dissipate, leaving moderate lacing and a fleeting film of bubbles atop the body.
Smell - Definitely reveals the brettanomyces, but a little more subdued than I've come to expect from brett-enhanced farmhouse ales. Another way to describe it would be balanced, with some faint wet straw and barnyard funk coming through as well, but some faint citrus and fruity undertones as well.
Taste - Delivers on the promise of the aroma, with the tartness from the brett coming through, but in a more subdued manner. Some notes of grass and earthy elements, and I think I can even detect some malty sweetness as well. You can also sense some hop bitterness to balance out the funk of the brett.
Mouthfeel - On the heavier side of light-bodied, but a refreshing pour overall, with pleasant carbonation and a lingering by gentle aftertaste.
Overall, a wonderfully balanced version of the style. The only reason it's not rated higher is because I prefer this subset of the saison style to be a little more in your face, to pack a little more palate wallop. All the same, it's incredibly drinkable and a solid representative of the style.

"Best by 08/2018"
Hazy golden color with a massive white head.
Smells great - stone fruit, flowers, peppery spice, some bretty sharpness, good complexity, extremely attractive.
Tastes terrific - peach, hay, spice, moderate but refreshing acidity, dry, long finish with just a touch of bitterness developing, good intensity of flavor, balance, complexity, and drinkability.
Tiny bubbles, cushy texture, extremely refreshing and drinkable.
One of my very favorite saisons, never fails.
