Thanks, cavemanlawyer!

Cloudy cherry color with a moderately sized light pink head that leaves dots and an oily cling down the glass. Not a particularly attractive beer, but that's largely unimportant.

Big notes of juicy cherry, some toffee and caramel sweetness, a hint of lactic sourness, but not a lot, and just a hint of an earthy funk.

The flavor is very cherry-forward and quite sweet. It's not nearly as sour as I excepted, with only a mild hint of tartness. A mild funk component does add some complexity, but this is more similar to a fruit beer (like a New Glarus Belgian Red), than it is a kriek or a Flanders Red.

Medium body with low-moderate carbonation. Somewhat creamy. I would prefer more carbonation for the style.

This isn't a good example of a kriek or a Flanders Red, but it is still a tasty cherry beer. This may not live up to expectations, but taken completely on its own, it's still a very tasty beer.

Best buy date of 01/2018 which I assume is 5 years out, so this is an 01/2013 bottle. Poured into HF stemware.

Appearance- Deep red, slightly hazy with an off white head that hangs around for a bit.

Smell- Sweet and sour cherries and a mild funkiness. Doesn't smell too sour, there is a bit of a lactic sourness noticeable.

Taste- Light malt and Cherry sweetness up front, then a really mild sourness. Slightly funky. Much sweeter and not as sour as most krieks, but it's really nice in a unique way. Leaves a lingering cherry skin taste.

Mouthfeel- Light and refreshing, finishes dry. Really easy to drink as well, the fact that it isn't too sour really helps the drinkability.

Overall- Really nice offering from Logsdon. Definitely a unique kriek/Flanders, looking forward to trying their other stuff.

Big thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml waxed and capped bottle into Tired Hands stemware.

Pours a clear, deep red. 1 finger rich cream-pink head with great retention. Lacing is spotty with little cling. Average.

Nose is cherry pit and meat, Brett, sweet vinegar and wood. Nice.

Opens sweet and tart cherry pit and meat. Acidic with hints of vinegar in the middle. Cherry skin in the end balances out the tartness with a touch of sweet red fruit. Funky and woody finish with a Brett aftertaste. Nice balance.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively in the mouth and goes down crisp and aggressive. Finishes dry with a puckering, filmy aftertaste.

Certainly one of the more balanced flanders style beers I've had. Nice sweetness and a mellow tartness. Worth trying.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Best by 6/2017. Bottle number C334. Reviewed from notes.

Appearance - Reddish amber. Big off white head with great retention.

Smell - Saison aromas with a touch of cherry. Very light. Peppery.

Taste - Much more cherry. Overwhelms everything else that's there. Dry. Maybe some oak. Not much like a Flanders Red at all.

Mouthfeel - Very light. Easy to drink. Dry. No flavor in the aftertaste at all.

Overall - Not sour. Not terribly interesting, either. Cherry and not much else.

The color was a murky raspberry red with a building and alive head of quickly popping bubbles.

The scent is slightly simple but absolutely luscious. Sweet cherries and raspberries explode into the nose with a bit of sour and tart.

The flavor is a bit dry with a red fruity champagne like taste. Pomegranate, cherries, and raspberries are all evident.

The feel is almost expansive in the mouth as the carbonation seems to grow.

This is very good, very light and has the effervescence of champagne.

Appearance Pours a hazy amber-brown, with over a finger of thick, pale khaki head.

Smell. Sweet and tart pie cherries, a little funky brett and old wood and just a little light malt.

Taste. Medium-light sourness and light tart cherry, a bit of dry brett and wood, a little sweet malt, and just a small amount of saison yeast.

Mouthfeel. Below medium body with , fairly full and fine carbonation.

Overall. A nice beer that's kind of a combination saison/kriek/flanders red with brett! What's not to like? I'll hang on to one for a while and see what happens.
