Notes/Commercial Description:
Our organic Oak Aged Bretta is made with our Seizoen Bretta that is aged for a period of time to develop the wood aged character in the beer. Oak Tannins, vanilla notes and subtle smoky spiciness soften and mellow this beer over time.

The aged unfiltered beer is refermented and carbonated in the bottle with select yeast strains to provide added dryness and complexity, then sealed with beeswax for additional aging. Store bottles upright in a cool dark place and enjoy for many years in a proper glass.

Thanks to rudzud for sharing.

Decent fluffy fizzy head fades semi slowly with tons of soapy lacing murky orange reddish color.

Nose some wild Brett funk, floral funk, fruity stone fruit with peach, little pear too, little tropical fruit Brett.

Trade more funky Brett, very funky, yeasty note, little Brett B funk, into big Brett c tropical fruit, little stone fruit, etc. Then quickly turns to straw, literally and figuratively, weird stale like, old fruit, straw and grassy notes, and bitterness. Finish brings a bit more peach and stone fruit, little grassy, but missing a lot. Little oak tannins and barrel notes.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, lots of carb.

Overall starts great then fades quickly, a bit of a let down because of that.

Shared with JLindros and Threelions.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a clear honey hue with a one finger head that leaves nice lacing. Very good, though it exploded.

S - Aromas of light pear, stone fruit, light funk, good brett c notes, light tropical.

T - Taste is awesome at first with nice typical brett tropical notes and then hay and straw, rather odd. Really would like more tropical notes, saison pear isn't bad.

M - Mouthfeel is very bubbly and clean, alcohol hidden nicely.

O - Overall this beer was a bit confusing, nose and Mouthfeel are awesome but I think the oak barrel kind of hinders this, not digging the tannins.
