served on tap at the brewery, nov. 2, 2013 in a snifter.
appearance is dark black, small amount of head but very effervescent.
nose is has hints of hop and orange citrus. taste on the front end is tarty orange not so pleasing and the back end is rather bland. probably would not order again. not a horrible black ipa.

Shared by someone during BRoss242’s send-off party before he moves! Will miss you man! Served from growler into a Mikkeller taster flute. Poured red-orange with a minimal off-white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, orange zest, orange, citrus, and citrus hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, orange, orange zest, and citrus. It had a light feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a decent brew. Another brew from them that I never knew existed… The orange was definitely the dominate feature going on in this brew. I really wish more of the flavor had a hop presence. I have a feeling the orange aspect likely covered that up which was kind of unfortunate. Still not bad and worth your time trying it if you get the chance.

the beer pours a dark, dull black with almost no head. once the beer warms you're able to get a lot more citrus fruit and hoppy bitterness. it's definitely a black IPA, but the orange is tough to find. it's got a sweetness that's far more pronounced once it warms. this is a tasty beer that makes a great BIPA, but I wish the orange was more pronounced.
