Pours dark brown with a two finger off-white and caramel head. Very malty in the nose and in the body, with a fairly dry finish. Overall a good beer but not one I would seek out again.

A slightly hazy brown/amber color. Off white, tan, creamy looking head. Retention was decent. Munich malt on the nose. Biscuity and bready smelling as well as tasting. I also get some kind caramelized fruits, not from any kind of ester profile but from the malts. The beer is clean enough to pass as a solid lager. Rather sweet but balanced by noble hops. Personally I always find noble hops have this awkward kind of lingering bitterness which is something this beer has.Medium body, perhaps a touch on the thicker side. Overall pretty tasty, screw anyone who says a lager can't be flavorful.

Appearance: It has a nice deep brownish/amber color to it. It has a nice beige head that dies down somewhat fast and leaves very little lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of toasty malts, some nuttiness, sweet caramel and faint dark fruit.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some toasty malts, a slight nuttiness, caramel and a fairly astringent grassy hop presence adding a moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a decent overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a smooth drinkable beer accompanied with suitable flavors and aromas but is lacking some balance.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color bock with a large foamy head with good carbonation and light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt that is dryer then expected with some light spicy notes. Taste is dryer again then expected with a spicy finish which appears to originate from the malt. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting and while not being unpleasant the spicy notes are somewhat surprising.
