From the 500 ml bottle into a pint glass.

An amber color with a slight haze, La Complice pours with a full two to three finger head. The head breaks down fairly quickly, but you are left with a nice film along the top.

The smell comes across with malts, there is a faint whiff of hops. With the taste comes the reason it is called a mild. Smooth and mellow, this would be a great session ale.

There is medium carbonation and good mouthfeel, and this is an easy drinking ale.

Overall, this iteration of La Complice is a nice easy to drink ale. If you are used to IPAs and other hoppy beers, this may not be for you. This might be a good intro beer for folks first adapting from the mainstream macro brew stuff.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a generous head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of dry bitter hoppy notes with some earthy tones also noticeable. Taste is dominated by earthy hops notes with an aftertaste that is more bitter than I was anticipating. Dry caramel malt are also easily noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. The Nugget hops brings a different side to this English style which ends up making things more interesting.
