Green 330ml bottle

Pours with an unimpressive fizzy yellow, with a thin straw head, disappating quickly

Smell is typical of pale lagers, dry, heavily carbonated, malty

Taste is simple, some grassy hops, little bitterness, some adjunct dry bud like flavour on the finish

A fair macro lager, drinkable but not exactly pushing the tastebuds

Appearance – This one poured a deep, rich yellow in color with some live carbonation and a big, full, white head.

Smell – One of the only decent good grain aromas that I’ve found. The grain smells as good as it looks. The nose is sweet and very pleasing.

Taste – The wheels started falling off this wagon at the taste. The sweetness, which I enjoyed in the nose, completely took over the beer. The grain just faded away and left me with a mouthfeel of overly sweetened tonic water.

Mouthfeel – This light-bodied birra has some subtle carbonation and is mildly crisp.

Drinkability – This one starts off well enough but lost its structure and felt kind of strung out to me in the end.

Pours an exremely pale straw color with a thin, white head that's waving goodbye.

There's not too much going on in the nose; it's lightly skunky, but that fades quickly, lemon, grainy malt. A step up from the big three.

A light lemony note in the taste and it's not completely void of hops in the finish.

Overall, it's not all bad. Drinkable, refreshing, and a good everyday food beer.

Tried this with dinner at the Olive Garden restaurants in Okemos, MI. Poured from the bottle into a chilled pint glass.

A: Seems much like an American macro. Similar colors, minimal white head that dissipates very quickly to a ring of bubbles before it disappears for good, no lacing to speak of.

S: Not much on the nose. Basically just smells like 'beer' with nothing particularly notable.

T: I'm being generous in this category because I enjoyed this beverage with dinner and it really cut through the heavy cream sauces that were served with the pasta and helped to make the whole meal more enjoyable. Standing on its own it would probably merit something just a shade lower as the flavors present were relatively week. There's something just a touch sweet at first that quickly fades to water as it finishes very quickly. There's a quick hop bite and **poof** it's all over. Practically no aftertaste or linger.

M&D: Mouthfeel was interesting as it seemed to be more than it is when it first hits the tongue, then it quickly gets water. Again, this may be biased because I had it with food, but it really worked for me at the dinner table. Would I purchase it for personal consumption at home? Probably not.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine Volume II, Issue I:

Part of the "European Sampler" from SABMiller. A big push in marketing by SABMiller with this brand; many are reporting that this is their answer to Inbev's Stella Artois.

Very pale yellow color, strip-filtered clarity with a decent, white fluffy head. Peppery and lemony hop, mild cooked veggies (faint cabbage) and a faint husky grain in the nose. Smooth and crisp with a light body. Bitter herb, cooked veggies and a slight metallic tone to start. Bone-dry palate with a graininess that is borderline astringent. Peppery hop bitterness and more brash grain in the semi-puckering finish.

When in Rome ... uh, find some craft beer to drink. This Euro lager has gone from decent to almost undrinkable over the past several years. Our recommendation is to avoid this beer.

12 onz green bottle with freshness date in the back label

The appearance a very light pale straw color with with some bubbles as a head.

Nothing to write home about, very typical grains and some hops.

The taste is really nice , hops are clearly in there some maltiness, very easy to drink, just have to look for something to pair it.

Not the best euro pale lager,i have taste but still very good, maybe i would have some with some italian entree.

Presentation: 12oz green bottle. Best before end date and batch number stamped on the back.

Appearance: Perfectly pale, clear golden with a fine carbonation that creates a tiny bubbled white lace.

Smell: That unmistakable import Lager aroma ... light sulfur nose with a delicate floral hop aroma and faint malt sweetness.

Taste: Cold, crisp and refreshing from the very first sip. Body is light with a light dextrin-like malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is surprisingly smooth. Hop flavour is comprised of floral hop flavours and a soft lemon bitterness that tickles the palate with a slight, combined, herbal twang. A mild grain dryness adds to the overall crispness of the beer. Finishes a bit dry with hop leftovers.

Notes: I can almost imagine myself sipping this from a long glass on some Italian beach. A very drinkable and agreeable Lager. Serve cold.

Oh ... and I'm not a big wine drinker, so I always order a beer with my meals. And, I figure if I'm going to eat Italian, I'll drink Italian. Peroni does the job everytime, although it's not something I'd keep in the fridge at home.

TYPICAL american "wannabe" of a real euro lager. Average appearence, a bit weak on smell. Light bodied, quite light bodied as a matter of fact.Better than anheiser world select, but still not as good as my champion beer for this type of flavor: BECK. Although they are different styles technicly, this beer is coppied of the style of euro lagers. This is a good beer overall, descent flavor for being light and easy to drink.

Appearance: Quick spritzy white head that dissipates to almost nothing, pale straw and very clear.

Smell: Not much to the aroma, some faint graininess and that is about it.

Taste: Thin malt, a little light on the hops. Some dextrin sweetness within and lots of pale graininess. Spicy hop in the back with a drying grain effect as well.

Mouthfeel: Nice crispness, light to moderate body and thin throughout.

Drinkability & Notes: Italian macro brew, good to wash down some macaroni and gravy. On its own its just a plain Euro-lager.

12 oz green bottle pours a clear, well carbonated, marigold body with two inches of bone white head. The head drops to a film within two minutes and leaves behind some insificant patch lace.
Aroma is not quite disgusting, but leaves lots to be desired. Strong aroma of adjunct grain(watered down corn), and a semi-sulfuric hops note. Vague hints of florals and herbs.
Mouthfeel is light medium, with average carbonation for style.
Taste is of an average, Euro macro lager. Corn juice and sulfuric(Euroskunk) hops play a major role in the taste. I don't really like the flavor of this one. There are some metallic notes that don't belong. On the plus side, it's crisp and refreshing..
Drinkable, and I'm sure this would pair well with an antipasto plate with Italian cheeses. Standing on its own, it's a vey mediocre Euro pale lager.

Appearance: light yellow, medium head, medium carbonation

Smell: clean wheat, little malt

Taste: light wheat and malt-nothing overly complex

Mouthfeel: light and crisp, very refreshing

Drinkability: For the style this is very sessionable. It is somewhat more tasty than others in this category. I have had this before and never thought much of it, but could see myself drinking a six after cutting the grass.
