I am a fan of this fine frosty adult beverage. Its taste is crisp and the carbonation is almost ginger ale like. It has avery clean taste and looks real good too. Serve this cold with some fine italian cuisine and you will not be disappointed.
Happy Drinking!!!!

This is one of my favourite light beers. When poured in the glass, it gives a creamy white head, however it does not last very long. The taste is like most other light lagers, without the bitter aftertaste. Is a great beer for a sunny day in London town. Please bring it to Lebanon!

This Italian beer is decent but not the best. Poured into my trusty pint glass and light color with little to no head. Taste isnt bad as long as its poured into pint glass. Nothing spectacular about the beer but it is better than the American Lagers.

The nose here is very skunky. Dang green bottles!! A little bit of sweetness can be detected, but the overwhelming odor is just skunkiness...more than I'd expect of certain Dutch beers famous for it.

The beer is somewhat crisp upfront with some hop bitterness...which gives way to a bit of a skunky flavor that has transferred over from the smell...some breadiness is detected here as well. The finish is somewhat sweet actually, and lingers a bit for the aftertaste.

To be honest, I really like this beer. It's very refreshing and I find few beers more drinkable than this. The sweetness on the finish is what makes this stick out the most for me.

A great summer beer from Italy. It's got that skunky, dope smell that most people complain about, but I honestly couldn't care less. It's got that intense carbonation and silkiness that comes with a good euro lager with the added cooling effect if you drink it on a hot sunny day. Is it a craft beer? Not by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a great summer beer for a half decent price and it beats the shit out of Corona or any other of the import or domestic beers one might favor for the summer season. I rate it higher than most of the others on here. Maybe I'm a bit biased about it, but honestly, if you were to want to try a beer and checked Beer Advocate first, you would probably end up not buying anything. Reviewers on here shamefully rip apart macro and domestic beers because they aren't, 'up to snuff.'

Peroni is a well rounded, good tasting imported lager with a fair price tag. Enjoy on a hot day with your friends.

had this on tap at carinos restaurant...pours a wonderfully clean and clear dark yellow...little head which disappeared except for the outter ring...malts dominate the nose with a sweet hint...almost like a candy sweetnesss but very slight...crisp and refreshing and lite...distinct malt aftertaste which is welcomed...overall would buy again out but would skip over for another choice...

Bottle poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Pale yellow with lots of carbonation and a small head at the top.

Smell: Strong grass/citrus hop scent.

Taste: Mild bitterness with honey malt and a nice citrus pop. Very sharp lager flavor.

Drinkability: very high drinkability, this beer would be great with just about any food. Lighter body with some complexity and a crisp citrus pop make this beer a winner. Great for the style.

Crystal clear straw gold color with a nice white head which dissipated fairly quickly but retained a thin head throughout. Malty aroma. Taste was crisp and nicely balanced. Meduim/light body with medium carbonation. Highly drinkable. Tasty beer. I'll drink this again.

This is a very pleasant, well-balanced lager with a nice light maltiness and tangy hoppiness that balances the malt and makes for a very refeshing drink. If you like the pale lager style you should try it despite the negative ratings. It is heads and shoulders above the Buds and Millers of the world.

A very solid Italian lager beer, and a personal favourite if I am in that italian mood! A great golden colour and nice euro aroma, and a brilliant crisp mouthfeel combined with a brilliantly snapping dry-crisp flavor. The head goes down quickly on this one, and I would actually suggest drinking it from the bottle, as it is not quite as good on tap IMHO. This is a simple, very drinkable, all around beer, that is good to drink 365 days of the year.
Nice One.

S: Low to moderate hop aroma.
T: Smooth with a some grassy notes. Very nice balance of hop bitterness and the sweet malt. Very smooth.
M: Moderate mouthfeel. Just right for this style.
D: Excellent drinkability. Could down these all night. Very nice pale Euro lager.

Light, crisp, refreshing example of a macro lager. Love drinking this beer when served on tap from a tall, ice-cold Peroni glass. Nice creamy white head with fair retention.

Is this beer a work of art that'll knock your socks off? Probably not. But it is a pleasure to drink when served cold and worthy of a good review when you compare it to other macro lagers.

This beer pours a clear extra pale straw color. The head is a half inch in height, and recedes quickly into minimal lacing. The aroma is of bready malt with a moderate spicy noble hop presence. It is quite nice, and very good for the style. The taste is a lot like the aroma, with the hops being slightly more dominant. Again, very nice for the the style. The mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation, but not too high. Overall, I'm very surprised by this beer. It isn't only good for its style, it is good all around. I would certainly drink this again.

Peroni has a thick, white head and a very clear, deep golden appearance, with lots of carbonation. The aroma is slight, but one maybe can pick up some barley malt with a strong sniff. Taste is a good mix of hops and barley, as per the description. I found this full-bodied taste and mouth-feel to be delicious, and it finished refreshing and not as dry as American lagers. Also, I was glad this sample was not skunked (green bottle). Overall, I really liked Peroni and would recommend giving it a try.

12oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass.

A: Pale like a macro. Somewhat respectable head. If you poured this into a flute, it would be indistinguishable from champagne.

S: Neither malt nor hops assert themselves strongly.

T: Hops are definitely present, but this is much more malt-forward than the typical Euro. Finishes slightly sweet. Kind of like a toned-down helles.

M: Light, bubbly, cleansing.

D: You can definitely detect the Bavarian influence in this beer. For that reason, it's a notch above most Euro lagers.

Bought and drank this in Sorrento, Italy. Clear, straw golden with a thin white head, poor retention and minimal lacing with mild to moderate carbonation and a medium-light body. Aroma begins with pale malts, freshly cut grass, faint green apples and straw. Very similar to Steinlager with some mild fruitiness. Mouthfeel is light. Taste begins with light flavor hops, fades to mild pale malts and grassy hops, and a moderate sweetness. The finish is lightly dry with lightly spicy bittering hops that are well-balanced. Reminds me of Steinlager in many ways. Alcohol is very mild and clean and hardly noticeable. A decent pilsener.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro pours a haze chilled light gold from a 12oz light green glass bottle with a pry off cap. Head of fine bubbled white foam went to just under two fingers in my 16oz glass beer tumbler. The head lasted just a short time before disappating away to leave a full cap of foam, with slight amounts of lace.

Nose is a fresh and lightly toasted barley malt with some sweet notes along with a touch of damp husk. Palate is a highly carbonated barley malt, that is very crisp, dry, and clean. The bitter of hops is the dominate aftertaste that is followed by the sweet toasted barley malt.

I like this brew from Italy, with an ABV of 5.1% by volume (from the Nastro Azzurro web site). I will be looking for more of this stuff, come Summer in Nebraska.

When in Rome... Or when in an Italian restaurant. Whether real or imagined, this beer seemed to go really well with my pizza and pasta. Light yellow color, soft head, "tiny bubbles" --looked like champagne in the glass. Subtle Euro "skunk" in the nose, but the light, smooth mouthfeel and crisp (in a fruity way) hops taste really balanced it out. Little malt to speak of, but enough for a satisfying drink with dinner. Unlike some other "macro" Euros with their metallic aftertastes or "in your face" hop bite, this one ended clean and slightly bitter. Surprisingly refreshing. Nothing I'd buy to keep on hand, but definitely something I'd do again when dining out Italian. Buona birra.

Beer geeks be damned I think this is a very fine euro pils.

Appearance is a bit light but certainly well made with very good head/lacing

Smell is a uniquely sweet pils grain, lovely

Taste is about as nice a summer sessionable beer as I can think of

Mouthfeel a tad thin, but within spec

Overall an enjoyable beer I've been drinking for years

In all aspects, this is your standard mass-produced pilsner, but a good one. Bright color, lasting head with a bit of lace, minimal skunkiness to the nose and a sharp, crisp taste. This got panned by several here but in terms of a straight up everyday pilsner I thought it better than most US representations of the style.

I like Peroni. In the bottle it's okay. On tap it really shines. Okay, it's a Euro lager, and it's not going to knock your socks off. But it gets the job done in a comfortable, enjoyable way. Drink it at an Italian restaurant, on tap with some chicken marsala, and you'll be good to go.

Keep in mind, this is the draught version:

Appearance: A rich, golden color, with a two-finger width head that dissipates quickly into a light bubbly lacing. Quite attractive in the glass.

Aroma: It doesn't smell like a lager, really. There is a definite grainy scent to it, but I also detect a distinct, but light hoppiness about it too.

Taste: A very European, gentle hoppiness. Grain, but a suggestive, malty aftertaste. It does not offend.

Mouth: No bitterness, especially after eating a few bites of food. It's a good mealtime beer.

Overall: The beer is not stellar, but it's really not bad. Drink it on tap and you will not regret it. I found myself liking it more and more as I sipped it. Like I said, it goes well with Italian food, but also with just about anything else. A good, solid European lager.

Peroni Nastro Azzuro is the "Peroni" that we drink here in America. There is about three different Peronis to choose from on this site that I think are all the same so I went with this one. Peroni pours nicely with very little aroma. I am not a Pale Euro guy, but this beer has less of a skunk taste than others, which I like. It has a good mouthfeel and very drinkable. I guess it's a good reason they just started shipping in 12 packs!

tried this drink at a local Italian restaurant, the owner suggested it. it was not too bad of a lager, actually i liked it. poured a nice 1 inch head that stuck around for 3 minutes or so, then stayed at a nice thin layered foam. the smell was sweet with a bit of hop. felt decent on my tongue and mouth not too carbonated not too little. real nice sweet tasting lager, again not too sweet. a very nicely balanced beer. i will definately try again.

Pours gold , clear with a creamy white head that had good retention. No lacing. Nose is malty with a soft and very light floral int he background. Cool hop herbal, faint sulfur. No diacetyl, light dms. Excellent nose. This has that weedy scent that I associate with some eeuro lagers. taste is breaddy. Mouthfeel is lovely with soft big bubbles to accent malty flavors rather than small biting ones. taste follows the nose and hops show a firm bitterness toward the finish that lasts and malt lingers golden int he aftertaste. I really liked this one. Crisp adn easy to drink.

Color is very pale yellow, indicating the use of adjuncts in the grain bill. Aroma is very similar to a draft Heineken, probably due to a similar hop variety being used. Pours with a nice creamy head, but there is little to no head retention. Overall, it is a very good light European lager, with nice bitterness and a pleasant hop aroma.
