This beer pours a clear extra pale straw color. The head is a half inch in height, and recedes quickly into minimal lacing. The aroma is of bready malt with a moderate spicy noble hop presence. It is quite nice, and very good for the style. The taste is a lot like the aroma, with the hops being slightly more dominant. Again, very nice for the the style. The mouthfeel is light bodied with high carbonation, but not too high. Overall, I'm very surprised by this beer. It isn't only good for its style, it is good all around. I would certainly drink this again.

bottle poured into standard pint glass
a: straw yellow color, slight head with very little retention. Fizzy carbonation
s: slight floral hop aroma, slight hint of malt
t: slight bready malt balanced with floral hop, slightly skunked flavor appears too.
m&d: light bodied, with a crisp fizzy mouthfeel. Not a horrible beer, but for the price it is a poor value.

A: It pours straw coloured with a even white head that lingers for quite some time, and afterwards there is a lot of head residues on the glass.
S: There is definitely floral hops and malt (possibly caramell), and a lot of fruit (green apples and citrus).
T: A refreshing beer that has a nice mix of floral as well as bitter hops, some sweetness to the malt and both fruity and floral notes.
The aftertaste is rather long with a nice bitterness.
M: Dry, medium bodied with some carbonic acid.
D: A nice lager that goes down smoothly (preferably in summer). This beer would taste rather nice with a pizza.

An italian euro pale. Appears straw yellow with no head to speak of really. Just a bit of lace.
Smells of the tettnang hop, sulfur, floral, even a tad skunkish which I would attribute to the hop.
Taste is bitter upfront with a cracker like malt character. The hops pull through more than anything, and impart a skunky bitterness.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a crisp finish.
Overall, an average drinking euro lager, similar to a Heineken with a bolder hop character.

Pours a light yellow pale color with a one finger head. The smell is weak and is not very complex. There is not alot going on in the smell department. The taste once again is not very complex either. There is very few notes of anything in it. The carbonationis on the high side. Overall you could drink a couple of the beers but not a lot. There is not much going on with this beer.

On-Tap in a Peroni glass, how fitting.
A- Peroni Nastro Azzurro has the typical Euro Pale Lager look with a very light yellow color with some white gold highlights. A thin 2cm white cap stayed throughout the drink leaving loose spider web lacing.
S- I got what I expected out of the smell, nothing much. European malts giving off some old bread, alot of grain and some weak hops rounding out the smell. Cant help to notice that a light skunked scent comes with the territory, although this is more like an indian reservation. Not a great scent, but certainly not the worst.
T- Alright, I know this is not a stand out beer, but I was not totally disgusted by it. If I had more than one pint though, that would probably change quickly. Lightly toasted malt with grain and some skunk. Some hops in the backend giving off a thumbnail of flavor and hardly noticable bitterness. The hops in this give off a apparent grassy taste. No more, no less!!
M- Peroni is a light bodied lager with big carbonation going for it, perhaps a bit to much, but if it was not there this beer would be dead in the water. Presently it's on life support, reminding me of many american macros. I expected more from an Italian brewery but I guess every country has a big enough brewery to quench the thrist of the simpletons
D- One pint was enough for me, in fact 3/4 of one is plenty come to think of it. Glad I tried it on tap because I can only assume that the bottled version is like watching a Paula Poundstone routine. I kid, I kid, no, actually, I think im dead on.

12oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass.
A: Pale like a macro. Somewhat respectable head. If you poured this into a flute, it would be indistinguishable from champagne.
S: Neither malt nor hops assert themselves strongly.
T: Hops are definitely present, but this is much more malt-forward than the typical Euro. Finishes slightly sweet. Kind of like a toned-down helles.
M: Light, bubbly, cleansing.
D: You can definitely detect the Bavarian influence in this beer. For that reason, it's a notch above most Euro lagers.

Poured from a bottle in Florence, Italy 6 14 09 during my recent Italian tour into a plastic cup (the only thing that I could find...it wound up being a suitable vessel for this beer).
A Heinekin in appearance. Boring Euro Pale Lager look. Minimal head, light yellow brown translucent body.
S very little smell. Essense of Heinekin.
T Exactly like an Heineking only less interesting. This is not a good beer. It is too watery.
M Thin to no mouthfeel. I mean really, it had almost no mouthfeel.
D Good but this is not worth a second look for me.

Poured from a green bottle into a weizen glass. Has a pale yellow color with a small head. Aroma is very mild, almost non existent. There is a light crisp taste, not much flavor. Feels ok in the mouth and is fairly drinkable. Overall this is a pretty mediocore beer.

Pours with a very small, white head that soon vanishes. No lacing. Body is extremely clear and yellow. Immediately after opened, a very skunky aroma is present, which dissipates as the beer sits in the glass for a few minutes. Otherwise, the only aroma I get is fading skunkiness. Oddly enough, while it is light on the palate, its body is still slightly fuller than I would have expected from its appearance. Fizzy carbonation that continues while drinking. Tastes ok, not near as skunky as you would think from the odor, but the flavor is gone almost immediately. Lightly bitter, dry finish... and I do mean light. Great as a lawnmower beer, but if you want to really taste a beer I'd definitely recommend something else.

Bottle poured into a pint glass.
This is a basic lager. head goes away quickly, no lace. slight sent of hops, but not much. taste is also not that impressive.
Overall, i would not buy this as a craft beer, but i wouldn't mind drinking it the same way i feel about coors. It is a nice beer to just sit and enjoy in the sun or at dinner if you are just looking for something easy to drink and not looking for specific tasty beer.
Not a bad tasting beer, its just nothing special

This is probably the "staple beer" of the average Italian. Cheap and available almost everywhere, it's one of beers you can't miss while in Italy. It's also exported to many European countries, Greece for sure.
The appearance is simple. It has a pale yellow color and makes a weak foam. The smell is neutral, almost non existent. Nevertheless this beer is not piss. Its taste and mouthfeel are almost average, not too acidic or sweet.
Overall it's a beer that is not pretending much, you can have a couple of bottles before you can feel its presence.

The nose here is very skunky. Dang green bottles!! A little bit of sweetness can be detected, but the overwhelming odor is just skunkiness...more than I'd expect of certain Dutch beers famous for it.
The beer is somewhat crisp upfront with some hop bitterness...which gives way to a bit of a skunky flavor that has transferred over from the smell...some breadiness is detected here as well. The finish is somewhat sweet actually, and lingers a bit for the aftertaste.
To be honest, I really like this beer. It's very refreshing and I find few beers more drinkable than this. The sweetness on the finish is what makes this stick out the most for me.

Served--- in a regular pint glass
A--- Lots of head and very fizzy. A little too yellow for my taste.
S- Too much perfume-- smells like heniken or grolsch. Has that skunky smell that euro lagers have.
T- Bitter and watery- nothing too impressive.
M- Lively in the mouth and that is the highpoint of this beer.
D- Not my beer at all. Had some left over from a party and decided why not try it. Great on a hot day and need a refreshing drink. Otherwise an Italian version of Grolsch or heniken.

Pours very light, golden straw, clear as can be.
Smells skunky, mild grain and malt background, not much to behold here.
Tastes like it smells, a skunky flavor, not overly offensive, not the greatest, either.
Feels very light, like an adjunct lager, decent carbonation, nice tingly sensations going on.
Average on the drinkability scale. Worth a shot if you see it around.

One of my favorites amongst the golden lager group. Looks pretty average, golden, clear, with white head that leaves little bit of lacing. Smells great, full of hops. Tastes good too, a little bit less hoppy than it smells, but still good. Tends to leave me with a slightly bitter mouth, but very drinkable otherwise.

a- bottle poured into a pint, one inch head that didn't stay too long, nice lacing though, light yellow color, good amount of carbonation, classy dego label haha.
s- slight hop smell, little sweetness, pretty crisp.
t- pretty typical pilsner flavor, little hops upfront, balances out, bitterness at the end.
m- decent, nice and bubbly, goes down easy.
d- i'm gonna say it's drinkable, refreshing.
bonus points for being the beer of my motherland. cin cin.

Green 330ml bottle (5.1% ABV),best before March 2010, drank in May 2009. Poured into a 'Palm' tulip shaped glass.
The bulbus shape of the glass made the beer look mid-gold colour, a thinner glass would have shown a paler, lighter golden, brighter body. There was no head after 30 seconds, a very small white collar remained.
Very little aroma, gets my standard 3 for a non-smelling lager/pilsner.
No true flavours, a typical mass produced hot weather lager with no redeeming features to push it beyond the bland rows of other lagers/pilsners that fill the shelves in British supermarkets.
Watery and weak, nothing happening.
No character or individuality, refreshing on a hot day, but lacks class.

Appearance - frothy head, super bubbly with a very pale yellow look
Smell - smells like most pilsners do.
Taste - Meh, just is like many other pale lagers. bitter aftertaste but nothing worth getting excited over
Mouthfeel - the saving grace for this beer i suppose is the bubbly fizzy nature making it refreshing somewhat, but we dont drink beer simply for the way it feels now do we
Drinkability - nothing really impressive about this one. I'm not saying avoid it, but its not something to run out to the stores and grab it up. One was enough for me cuz its just not that exciting

Bottle poured into a Minnesota Twins pint glass :)
A- Pale yellow, almost clear with a nice amount of carbonation. Little white head disappears to just about nothing, leaving a thin layer on top.
S- Smells good, with a little skunkiness to it. Overall a nice smelling beer.
T- Tastes a lot like it smells. Has a sweet bitterness to it, with a hint of hops. Decent, nothing too exciting.
M- Full of carbonation. This beer takes over your mouth until you swallow. Tingles my tounge.
D- Drinks pretty easily, not the greatest tasting lager I've had, but its not bad at all.

The Appearance - Green, yep, I didn't pour it out of the bottle, so my appearance was green.. looked about like any green bottled beer to be honest. Typically these are more yellowish and clear, which is what most interntet images of this beer appear to be. So I'm going to say average
The all Important Smell - hmmmm sniff sniff.. not much, kind of smells like well beer. Maybe a little stronger smell than Bud Light, let's see.. yes comparing the two, the Peroni smells more citrusy, compared to the Bud Light.
Taste - I like it, it's not strong, but to me it has a distinct flavor that's different for me. Noting that this is the same style that is Budweiser, well this tastes better.
Feel - well it's crispy as I mentioned, very carbonated. I like it.
Drinkability - very easy...

Pour pale straw with minimal head that shows moderate persistence.
Aroma is of weak cereal-like malt, with some skunk and very mild green grassy hops.
Taste is similar, full of grains and sweet bready malt. An annoying one-dimensional light bitterness follows. Minimal hop presence.
Very watery, alright carbonation though.

Bottle into Clear Glass
Appearance - Nice frothy, foamy head, appealing to look at. Excessively filtered, very clear. Quite a lot of carbonation. Head settles eventually. Pale yellow color, not as golden as I would have hoped. Still a good looking pilsener.
Smell - Not very strong. Plain pilsener aroma. Not very enticing.
Taste - good. Noticeably bitter aftertaste. Upon the second swig i notice it is more bitter than I thought the first time.
Mouthfeel - very good carbonation. goes down smooth, but that taste is just too bitter.
Drinkability - a decent beer, not crazy about the flavor. There are better italian beers out there, most noticeably the ones from Birrificio Italiano which are spectacular.

Color is very pale yellow, indicating the use of adjuncts in the grain bill. Aroma is very similar to a draft Heineken, probably due to a similar hop variety being used. Pours with a nice creamy head, but there is little to no head retention. Overall, it is a very good light European lager, with nice bitterness and a pleasant hop aroma.

I happened to get a "European" beer sampler for the holidays that had a 6 pack of Peroni included. I thought I'd post a review after tasting a couple bottles.
A: Well fairly typical for a lager, although it did produce a decent head that didn't fade away quickly.
S: Somewhat floral with hop notes. None of the dreaded "skunk" overtones that usually green bottled lager beer exhibits.
T: Pleasant, with nice tartness and a light hop finish. Nothing to write volumes about but better that I expected.
M: Smooth, if non-descript.
D: To me this means would I want another since I'm impressed. Well not a beer I would do a "session" with but better that expected overall.
