This is a common beer in Italy, and falls into the class of being extra cheap and packaged in a stubby 66 cL bottle. While I didn't expect much, this beer was actually better than many of the other Italian lagers. In a pint glass, the body was a very clear shade of light gold, and the head of white lace had very good retention. The smell actually exhibited quite a bit of spicy hop prescence, with faint adjunct notes of rice. The taste was nothing special; it had a moderate amount of maltiness which was at times a bit sweet. The finish was a cloudy mix of barley and adjuncts, with a noticeable bitterness from the hops. This wasn't a great beer, but it certainly was more complete than a Peroni or a Naturto Azzuro. Reminds me of Beck's lager.

Italy has too many of these characterless, big-bottle pale lagers if you ask me. Pours a timid, light yellow with a medium sized, puffy white head that actually sticks around for a while! Light aromas of honeyish malt and lightly bitter hops. Lightly sweetened toasted malt up front. Clean. Reluctant hops provide some balance, but don't have much flavor. Next.
