This American version of a Belgian IPA, brewed with Brettanomyces bruxellensis weights in at 6.5% but I have seen it advertised elsewhere at 7.5%
On Draft at Smoke & Barrel, Washington, DC
A: A beautiful darkish yellow straw color, with consistent yet thin lacing on a 13 oz
S: Slightly sour, but mainly typical lambic beer character + citra hops
T: Everything I had hoped it would be. Treads the ever tricky line between a PA and full on IPA, It is intensely tart for a split second but then masked nicely with the Citra and Meridian hops. Great funky earthy on the long lingering finish. This was a beer I enjoyed on my palate for a long time between sips.
M: Nice amount of carbonation. Nothing out of the ordinary.
O: Well done Lost Rhino...Just continuing to impress and come out with an amazing amount of unique, creative, inventive beers. It is shocking they can have such diverse output and not have anything, especially this tricky brett beer fall flat. Will order again if I can while supplies last. The complexity that comes out of multiple months of aging this beer is truly wonderful.

Appearance: Deep gold color with some yellow when held up to the light. Very clear. Head drops fast but leaves a small ring. Tons of webby lacing.
Aroma: Love the interaction between citrus hops and brett. This is reportedly a strain isolated from a Cantillon bottle. Lots of citrus, pineapple, and an earthy, musty funk.
Flavor: Lots of the same. Citrus and pineapple. Lots of funk. Light hints of puckering tartness but never approaching sour. Very dry, quick finish. Moderately bitter. Super tasty.
Mouthfeel: Very dry with a quick finish. On the light bodied side with medium carbonation.
Overall: The marriage of brett and citrus seems to be a big winner and it's really well done here. A citrus, funk, and pineapple bomb that manages to stay super drinkable. One of the best, and certainly the most unique, offering to come out of Lost Rhino
