Presentation: It was served on tap at the Lost Rhino Brewery. Appearance: It has a light yellow gold color with a very slight haze. It was was briefly topped with a small white head which quickly faded out. Smell: The aroma was very light and clean with faint grassy hops white bread. Taste / Palate: It has a light base with pale biscuity under tones and a plain dry hop character though out. This finished with a fairly firm hop bitterness. (442 characters)

On Tap at Rabbit Grill in Arlington

A- Slightly hazy bright gold. Big white head fades some but keeps a small layer and thick bubbles of lace.

S- Piney hops dominate the nose. Less spicy and more American citrus and pine than I expected in a pils. Smells nice, just not like a czech pilsner.

T- Medium bitterness blends with juicy pine, citrus and a jam note. A bit of pilsner sweetness comes through near the end but the finish is pine and bitterness.

M- Thin with medium carbonation. Just right for the style.

O- A refreshing drink, somewhere between a pilsner and an American pale ale. Good, not great, but I would enjoy it again. (638 characters)

On tap at Meridian Pint, Washington D.C.:

Overall, this is a solid beer, kind of what you would expect from the style...straight forward. The beer appeared a nice clear, golden color that produced a good two finger head that was pretty well retained and had noticeable carbonation rising to the top of the glass. The beer gave off a light, bready aroma. The taste followed the nose...again, solid Pils. The beer had a lighter feel to it, it was very easy to drink, clean, crisp and refreshing. Probably a beer that I would get again. (540 characters)

A thanks goes out to the legendary woodychandler for this beer. Pours a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is sweet, some lemons. Taste is a tad tart, some lemons, spicy, refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall us a sessionable beer, tasty and easy drinking. (279 characters)

A: Pale gold, dust, with a small-ish cloud of white head.

S: Honey and malt character, as well as a very herbal smelling hop aroma. Herbal and grassy.

T: Honey malt character coming through, and then the hops hit. Herbal, and earthy with hints at a flowery field. The bitterness isn't aggressive, but certainly assertive.

M: Medium light, with high carbonation. A bit of a cling in the finish.

O: Overall very tasty. Not the greatest pilsner I have had, but far from the worst. A six pack of this at a BBQ would be just fine.. (539 characters)

Poured on tap at Meridian pint into a shaker pint glass. Not the best glass to evaluate this style but off we go. From notes.

Lots of pinhead carbonation coming up, even some in the middle stuck to the sides of the glass. No head is presented but always leaves a good simple thin collar while drinking. Body is a nice clear gold, maybe even a little darker.

Nose though is completely empty. There might be a small hint of light doughy malts, but I can barely sense it, but there is nothing going on here, the beer smells lifeless and dead.

Palate though finally wakes up quite suprisingly. A very noticeable spicy hop profile it seem, which continues on the afterfinish with a good coating feel. Density on the feel comes through a bit with a good honey sweetness. The malts coat quite nicely as it warms also.

Overall a finally much better beer from these guys, it hits with a good flavor profile and is easy drinking, I could have this again. (948 characters)

Can at Right Proper Brewing Company, Washington, DC

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down and left a thin patch of bubbles in the center and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bready malts and grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of grassy hops with underlying notes of bready malts. Hints of spicy hops are also perceptible. The hops lend a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This pilsener has a nice does of hops and really opens up your palate. It would be a good way to start off a meal. (783 characters)

This is a great beer, I like the overall taste and it is one of the better Northern Virginia beers I had tried.

On tap at Evening Star Cafe in Del Ray last night. Served in a pilsner glass.

Pours a brilliant clear golden color with a nice, foamy white head and plenty of lacing on the way down. The nose carries a bit of floral hops and some crisp pilsner malt. Nothing complicated, but that's how it's supposed to be. Flavor lost some of the hop touch, though the graininess was there without being too pronounced. Finish had a bit too much graininess and a touch of tannin. Otherwise, light with crisp carbonation. Pretty good; I'd have this again. (539 characters)
