This is one of the trio of growlers I got for a 4th of July bbq. The hosts are German heritage and are not fond of American aggressively hopped beers. This beer, while maybe not perfect, reminded me of some of the Kolsch biers I enjoyed when I lived in Bamberg. Nice clear straw/gold color, low hop aroma with mild/medium bitterness taste. Light body, just what you want on a nice summer day. If this were bottle conditioned, then it probably would be very close to what I enjoyed in Germany. Yes, this was enjoyed by hosts. Went well with the pulled pork.

Poured on tap into a stange glass at Meridian Pint DC.
Greenish yellow somewhat cloudy body. Quite surprised to see some green hues. Simple white collar given.
Nose is a bit smal, but has Kolsch like qualities. A little bit of vinous sense, grass like hop, nothing off putting, some light malts, fairly alright.
Palate hits nicely. Crisp with a fruity finish, light bodied and carbonation feeling. There is a classic light toast on the finish, not as bold or as big as ones from Germany, but getting there and close. Finishes clean and easy.
A pretty good Kolsch, this one came out fairly solid.
