This review applies to Reno's West and East

You just cannot beat either of the Reno's location for selection....well maybe you can if you throw in HopCatEL's 100 taps. Nevertheless, East is at 68 and counting with West not far behind. Both places have a raucous atmosphere when going at full tilt. West is all Dave and Buster's-y with games, and East is noisy with many MSU coach TV and radio shows filmed there. At normal pace both feel like your standard sports bar, and when slow, feels very lethargic and glum, like an empty casino at 4 AM.

Beer - with this many taps, there are always some winners on. Quite often there are ton of winners, and after tap takeovers some great beers stick around for a long time. But I do have an issue - Reno's serves its beer really goddamn cold. I think that has detracted from my enjoyment of some stouts and other bigger beers I have had. Most of the metallic tasting beers I've had in Lansing have been at Reno's For this, I have dinged the quality, although I have never had a problem with PAs and IPAs.

Food - huge for me as a business traveler - is not a strong suit. The chili is fine, but other than that I consider it below average even for a sports bar. Some ingredients seem less than fresh.

For beer and a fun night out, highly recommended, consider other options if you are looking for a meal.

A fun place to bring the family or just adults. They normally have half of the taps just for Michigan beers and one nitro tap. The bar is divided into three areas. One has tables which is a large game room with many Video games. Another has several pools tables and the last is the tap room area. They also have a large outdoor which is nice in the warmer months. plenty of room a few hundred people without feeling crowded. The food is typical bar food with with average quality and average selection.
