Brews On Washington is essentially a bar/coffee shop, located on - you guessed it - Washington Street in downtown Spokane. It's a relatively small space located on the first floor of what I believe is the Hutton building, though I could have that name mixed up with another building downtown. The space was previously used by a local espresso chain. Parking is strictly of the on-street metered variety or at the pay lot across the street (unless you mostly walk around downtown, like me)

It's a nice-looking space, with a bar that sort of wraps around the bar/coffee-brewing/food prep area, with additional table seating in the front half of the establishment. BTW, in the late afternoons the sun beats down on the front of the building, which has non-functional air conditioning most of the time. Talking to the owner, it's been a sore point between him and the building's owner and is supposed to be corrected, but in the meantime, if you go before the sun sets in the height of summer, you'll want to get a seat as far back from the windows as possible.

The selection isn't huge with only 6 taps, but it's very good, with a larger selection of bottles as well. PNW and western US IPAs seem to always be present. They also got a keg of Black Butte XXIII. The management clearly are fans of craft beer, and it's served well, i.e. no frosted glasses.

The food is decent without being spectacular. I've had deli sandwiches both times I've visited which were competently made and served promptly. They also place complimentary bowls of popcorn in front of you when you seat yourself.

Service is friendly and always aware of what beers are currently on-tap. At one time I would've expected that with only 6 taps, but I've been to places that have screwed that up, so I appreciate it when it's done right.

I stopped at Brews on Washington on a downtown Spokane pub crawl.

It's a quiet little coffee type shop. More of a coffee shop than a beer bar really.

Quality is OK. They seem to specialize in Washington Brews. I found Palouse Falls, Paradise Creek, and a couple other selections from obscure Washington micro-breweries.

Service was good. The place was not busy.

Selection is very limited. Like I said it is really more of a coffee place. 6 taps, and a selection of bottles, mostly Euros.

I did not have any food, except for the complimentary popcorn. The menu looked like sandwiches only.

As for value, I thought it was a bit pricey, but like I said it's not really a beer destination.
