Elliott Bay Pizza is somewhat interestingly named, as this place is about 20 miles from downtown Seattle, but it has the best tap selection in bar-light Mill Creek.
I live very close to Elliott Bay Pizza but only got in there for a beer the other day, after my cousin recommended it. I was pleased to find over a dozen taps representing a very good selection of tasty and uncommon craft beers. I had a Cascade Hopfen Kopf IPA, served in a New Belgium chalice with a 16-oz fill line on it. I really appreciate the honesty of the glassware.
The bartender was knowledgeable and had a beer list handy. Apparently they were also having a Stone tasting later in the evening with several varieties of Ruination including the Double Dry Hopped -- I'm sorry I couldn't make it. But if that is any indication of the types of things they tend to carry, I'll be back there soon indeed.
The food is decent; it's a pizzeria with subs, as the name indicates. There's no table service for ordering, you place your food order on the restaurant side and then walk over to the bar side to get your beer and a place to sit. The bar side is newly expanded and renovated, with a large wood bar and lots of homey atmosphere.
Overall, a quite good neighborhood pub.
