Small town liquor store in Rock Falls, pop. 9600.
Considering this is likely the best stop for beer in a 30 mile radius outside of the Quad Cities (and Eagle River in Fulton), it was worth noting in Beerfly. It's on the main drag in town, with a giant purple neon sign in capital letters, perched on a small building with metal siding. The place is fairly large inside, beer is relegated to the far aisle opposite the coolers.
Sadly there was little craft in the coolers, but surprisingly on the shelf was roughly 75 brands, maybe 100 in all. Some quality selections from Dark Horse, Founders (Porter, Red's Rye Centennial), Goose Island Big John, Big Sky Moose Drool, Flying Dog Raging Bitch, North Coast Scrimshaw and Old Rasputin, Coney Island bombers, Sierra Nevada, Chimay and Lindemans, and a few other mixed craft and imports. Nothing amazing, but for such a small town they had a good assortment of craft beer.
The shelves were clean and dust free, though the front area was cluttered with boxes when you walk in. Service at the register was friendly enough. Recommended if you're in the area, there's not much else around.
//2012 edit// Seems there are other quality beer places in the area now listed. Check out beerfly listings for Dixon and Sterling for more info.
