Nice golden hue with plenty of haziness. There's a fingernail thin layer of off white head on top. Just a faint bit of sweet pear and light malt in the aroma. A nice sharp, crisp flavor of light Belgian candy sugar and sweet pear is prominent. The mouth is fairly crisp and bone dry.

A - Pours an amber body with golden hues and a two finger eggshell head that sticks around.

S - Sweet malts aromas, tart pears, a bit of white pepper, sage and a kick of Belgian yeast.

T - The pear is definitely the star. It's tart and a bit sweet. Belgian yeast comes through along with sage.

M - Medium bodied and high carbonation. A bit on the sweet side, but not cloying.

O - Instead of a Belgian Strong Ale, it's more of an Imperial Saison to me. Easily drinkable, very refreshing and has some tart goodness.

A: unlike others, my beer poured a muddled cloudy mess that resembled a dirty river. There was a decent amount of head.
S: yeasty and tart, with just a hint of sage
T/M: the taste starts with a decent amount if tartness, like a Belgian. Then the pear sweetness makes a little presence, but a peppery spiciness creeps in as well. The sage is more recognizeable late in the taste when the carbonation bite subsides
O: this to me was a solid Belgian that didn't overdo the fruit and spice additions, and they provided an interesting accent, but they don't push it to greatness.
