Suburban Beverage is a Gose-style ale brewed with salt, orange peel, lemon peel and key lime juice. The ideal drink after a long summer day working in the yard, picking the kids up from soccer practice, or a taking the dog for a walk. Tart and refreshing, it will certainly make you feel alright. Pairs well with Mexican food.

750ml brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Nearly clear golden rose hue, gushing carbonation crackles to a minimal and quickly dissipating lace. Smells of lemon zest, limes, lactic funk, & citric tartness. Very tart with some lactic funk, musty white chocolate on the palate. Key limes, lemon pith, and yeast in the middle. Very dry and crisp with a kiss of salt. Good drinking though one glass was more than enough.

L: Pours a slightly hazy gold with a dense white head that has decent staying power for the style.
S: Briney and key lime-y with a touch of lemon
T: Lemon/lime/orange tartness upfront, finishes with pilsner malt and lime-aid notes.
F: Crisp, clean, light
O: Fantastic gose with enough fruit to keep it interesting, but not so much that it bastardizes the style.

16 oz can, best by 1/24/21, into White Elm Willi Beecher.
Slightly foggy gold with a creamy cap of 1/2 finger. If you were to look a "Gose" up, this image would appear in the Wikipedia article.
Brine and salt on the nose, with hints of lime and coriander.
Flavor is very basic but comes through clean. Pilsner malt, bread, brine, salt, lemon juice, and lime juice. Bread remains on the finish. About 70% sour, 30% sweet.
Feel is crisp, semi-dry, semi-clean. Lots of carbonation. A bit of starch.
Overall, nothing to write home about, but nothing upsetting either. It's a standard, run-of-the-mill Gose with some added kick of key lime. It's a touch boring, but still drinks fine. I can finish the can no problem. For its price point (maybe I got ripped), it's likely not worth it. If you're a Gose-head though (I don't know many) this would probably blow your skirt up. It's solidly built.
Price paid : $13.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : no

A: The beer is slightly hazy pale yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with just a narrow collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass and a small patch of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sour limes are present in the nose.
T: The taste is somewhat sour and has flavors of limes with notes of lemons and a bit of saltiness.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The lactobacillus lends a slight bit of creaminess to the mouthfeel.
O: This beer is very easy to drink but seems to be a bit lighter in body compared to other beers in the style.
