Poured into a Gavroche tulip. Pours a medium golden amber with active carbonation and a big three finger white head with good retention and pillowy lacing. Aroma of earthy camomile, apple juice, summer herbs, saison yeast, peppery and earthy. Flavor starts with bitter camomile and coriander then quickly develops a soft semi-sweet light stone fruit and pear juice element before finishing semi-dry with residual herbal bitterness, somewhat medicinal from the camomile. Light to medium bodied but nice peppery carbonation. A really nice flavor progression from the expected saison semi-dryness of the start with light fruit flavors developing reminiscent of a light dubbel. There are a lot of pleasant herbal flavors in the middle and finish. The camomile is distinctive but adds an interesting bitterness to complement the more typical Belgian spices. I really liked this saison and look forward to other varieties from Perennial.

Chamomile adds awesome flavor, really enjoyably spiced.

A: Cloudy bronze color, looks like a typical belgian. Steady carbonation throughout. Thick two finger white head that looks like cotton

S: Strong chamomile, belgian yeast, cotton, banana bread, lemon pith

T: Mild belgian beer, not too yeasty with a pleasant bitterness that fades to a faint citrus tea then banana bread before finishing with chamomile. Hint of orange, very simply and smooth.

M: Strong carbonation up front that fades to a pleasant citrus taste and cotton mouth feel.

O: Very pleasant drinking belgian, not too yeasty. I'm not the biggest belgian fan, usually the mix of spices and yeast tastes like honey baked ham to me, but this beer is pleasant and not too yeasty. For a belgian, I really enjoyed this one personally.
