Bomber dated 05/13 into pint glass. Pours a dark brown with a modest light tan head. Initial impression is predominantly dark fruits with not a whole lot else going on. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is kind of on the thin side of medium. Finish is more dark fruits. OK of you like currants, but not my cuppa.

(Served in a snifter)
A- This beer pours a dense black body that glows a hint of walnut brown at the base of the glass, there is a thin meniscus of beige film that sticks to the glass.
S- There is a dark berry hint that blends with some dark toffee notes and then more roasted malt notes cover the fruit character as it opens
T- The earthy flavor with a soft berry note with a fruity yeast note and some cola notes in the finish. There is a slight vinous and resin note in the finish and some darker roast malt flavor come through as it opens.
M- The medium-light mouthfeel has a good little fizz and no alcohol heat.
O- This is a well-balance beer but the flavors that are there are a bit subtle and get covered by the roasted malt notes as it opens up.
