Thanks to redbird!
Perennial 17 pours black with a large mocha head. The aroma is nice, it's got the usual imperial stout roastiness and chocolate flavors, but with a very nice mint note on top. I'm a mint and chocolate kind of guy, so I'm very much enjoying this. The taste is very nice - it offers a herbal mint that sits over strong roast malts and coffee flavors. As I sip more, i become more accustomed to the mint flavor, which melds very well with the stout base. I can't say I've had another mint chocolate stout to compare this to, but it's tasty as hell. The mouthfeel is on the full side of medium, and the drinkability is exceptional. Overall, Perennial 17 is a tasty as hell stout. I'm really happy with the mint flavor, it makes drinking the whole bottle a much easier task than it would have been.
