750ml bottled August 2013. Served in a DFH Signature glass
Appearance: Pours a pale straw yellow color with less than a finger of a white soapy head that dissipates to a thin cap and collar. Body is hazy with quite a bit of visible carbonation.
Smell: Peaches, wheat, some clove spiciness.
Taste: Nice punch of sourness right away yields to flavors of wheat, peaches, banana, and clove. There's a weird, off putting grainy, almost soapy flavor in the finish and aftertaste, but it's mild enough that it doesn't detract from the overall flavor too badly.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, and crisp. Medium carbonation. Really refreshing.
Overall: Not bad, but the strange aftertaste keeps this one from being really good. If It were cheaper, I'd recommend giving it a try, but at it's price point I would pass on it in the future.
