Welcome to DC, Perennial!

Served in a Port City glass.

A: Poured a dark, cloudy orange color, with a whopping sudsy white head to boot.

S: More brown sugar and white pepper than citrus. Malty for sure….grainy even.

T: Sorta blah, and somewhat sugar heavy. It definitely want to make me go back for more. Actually, the initial flavor was good, but the aftertaste wasn't. Not much citrus here.

M: I actually like the feel. Spritzy and champagne-like, with lots and lots and lots of lacing.

O: For $13.99, I expected much better.

Thanks to dujayhawk for sending this bottle! Reviewed from notes. Poured from 750 mL bottle into a Cigar City pint glass.

A: Hazy and dark gold, with moderate visible carbonation and a finger's worth of white fluffy head.

S: Funky barnyard, pilsner and cracker malts, and some light Belgian fruity yeast esters (primarily apple).

T: Bretty dry funk, grassy barnyard, cracker malts, almost cider-like on exhale. Reminds a little of a saison in execution. Finishes quite dry.

M: Light body with good crackly carbonation sensation, and low alcohol presence.

O: This was a solid beer, if nothing earth-shattering. Enjoyable, and I'm glad to have tried it.

Another rudzud share.

Decent creamy thick head fades fairly quickly then slows, hazy sediment laden honey orange color.

Nose grainy sweet malts, rye spiciness and fruity, light apple fruity and soapy, light watery malt, little Belgian note, rich peppery and decent esters.

Taste starts sweet, candy like, very peppery, esters as well with fruity notes, little stone fruit, faint flash of paint thinner phenols, little Brett funk and fruity notes, rich yeasty. Little rye spicy note. Finish is dry and light bitterness, little rye and fruity flavours lingering, bit more phenols too.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb, little sticky, mild burning phenolic note.

Overall eh.
