Another rudzud share.

Decent creamy thick head fades fairly quickly then slows, hazy sediment laden honey orange color.

Nose grainy sweet malts, rye spiciness and fruity, light apple fruity and soapy, light watery malt, little Belgian note, rich peppery and decent esters.

Taste starts sweet, candy like, very peppery, esters as well with fruity notes, little stone fruit, faint flash of paint thinner phenols, little Brett funk and fruity notes, rich yeasty. Little rye spicy note. Finish is dry and light bitterness, little rye and fruity flavours lingering, bit more phenols too.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb, little sticky, mild burning phenolic note.

Overall eh.

Shared with JLindros and Threelions.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a clear honey hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light blanket with light lacing.

S - Aromas of a Belgian beer with light brett, funk. Nice esters, pleasant, rye?

T - Taste is Belgian esters, light brett, funk, super light. Maybe some rye, phenolic, Relatively unpleasant. Too malty.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, alcohol hidden well.

O - Overall the taste and nose were rather mediocre. I think it was the wrong base beer for the approach, unfortunate.
