I was in kind of a hurry so I didn't get to scope out the store as well as I like but first impressions were pretty positive. The service was great and it was nice to be helped by someone that actually knew what he was selling. They had a quality singles isle and a nice selection of each style. They also had the largest selection of local beers that I have seen. I didnt see anything past date and the prices were actually lower on some things. I plan to start shopping there when I am in tulsa.

I had a chance to stop in over the holiday break to check this place out. Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar is conventiently located in the Tulsa Hills shopping center off of US HWY75 & W. 71st St. Parking & traffic was a bit hectic, but not unexpected during the mad holiday shopping season. The outside has your basic "dull" strip mall appeal. Upon entering one can certainly tell that "winesnobbery" is the norm around here because the wineracks are at the forefront of the store with advertisements that are similarly focused. I'll be honest in saying my first impression was to ask, "Why the hell is this place even listed on BA!" or at least that was my thoughts before I reached the little beer oasis at the back of the store. My goodness, my Guinness! Beer hasn't been forgotten afterall, as THWC has dedicated the back quarter (near the office) to nothing but an ode to the foamy stuff. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality & selection! Admittingly, I'm terrible with names but the beerguy seemed to be in the know in regards to the latest releases (Nøgne Ø & Mikkeller) & the singles selection has to be one of the best (if NOT the best) in the entire area. If you're a BA in the area or maybe one that's just passing through then this place is definitely worth a look-see!
