very good chocolate oatmeal stout here, thanks to my folks for scoring a couple of large cans at the brewery and bringing back for me to enjoy, this is real solid, chocolate forward but the base beer is excellent too, its not overly sweet, and it drinks easy for a beer this flavorful, impressive quality. its deep and near black, luxuriously headed in a tan shade, and lacing adorns the edges of my glass. its matte luster, medium viscosity, and well carbonated. there is nice roast to this from the dark grain, which is neat because the chocolate addition seems desserty, more milk chocolate than earthy bitter nibs or anything, not diabetic either, but sort of hersheys syrup-esque in taste and nicely balanced by the darker roasted grain base. there are nuances of coffee and char here, a little woodiness even despite no barrel time, and the oats do a lot for the body, this is smooth, full, and creamy without being overly rich. its also not particularly complex, and it really doesnt need to be, nothing from the yeast, no hops at all are appreciable, not imperial and boozy, and its not done with a ton of adjuncts, so its kind of simple in an appealing way, good lathery stout with a chocolate forward taste, i appreciate it not being too much. that said, id love to try a coffee edition! love the texture and the drinkability for a flavored stout, probably my favorite of the green room beers my parents brought back. huge thanks to them for the hookup, this is delicious!

Drank this at The Green Room Brewery, so nice and fresh
Appearance: dark, nice head with some light lacing.
Smell: Chocolate! Smells like Chocolate milk.
Taste: Very chocolatey, like a fabulous chocolate milk beer drink.
Mouth feel; Thin and lacking for the style, but, that is a drawback that I can live with, because it is so chocolatey that it is just delicious.

Virtually no head production or retention. The nose implies chocolate and a bit of roasted malt.
Tons of chocolate on the palate, both bitter and sweet, and nearly overpowering any other flavors. It's quite enjoyable, and smooth on the palate. Definitely a bit one-note, but that's to be expected from the name.

On tap at Carmine’s Pie House in Jax. Not the best beer to pair with pizza but it worked! Super smooth, tons of chocolate, not too sweet. Can’t go wrong with a beer like this.

I tried this beer at the Omni Hotel in downtown J'ville. It poured an near opaque black with ecru head that eventually dissipated and left no lacing. The scent and taste were dominated by milk chocolate. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall its good.....I don't think its as good as Bolder's version....would need to try them side by side to get true comparison. Great after dinner libation.
