330ml bottle from Beers of Europe website (£3.19):
Murky to caramel brown with a thumb sized, bubbly head that holds well. Lots of visible carbonation too.
Rich and complex with good balance between a whole host of dark fruits, sugar, sweet malts and spices plus some grapes, figs, yeast and even some banana. Some light alcohol rounds things off.
Very sweet and filled with sugar upfront, the beer is loaded with sweet fruits that includes some banana and figs along with a touch of apple and grape. There is some Belgian yeast in there too and a touch more alcohol than the nose had suggested but it is still lighter than you would expect going in. The beer is rounded off with some further fruit flavours and an intensely sweet taste.
Smooth and crisp on the tongue with medium body and a well carbonated feel to it. There is a huge amount of sweetness from start to finish with only faint hints of alcohol in places. Great balance & it goes down well.
Very sweet and highly drinkable with a great combination of fruits all balancing with each other very well indeed and combining to give a solid, highly drinkable beer.
