On-tap into goblet at Yard House downtown Denver
A - Dark brown with ruby coloring, small off-white head dissipated quickly to a thin layer 3.5
S - Candied fruits and sweet malts with caramel notes 4
T - Well rounded full floral, can really taste both the malt & hops throughout the drink, excellent balance, my lack of sense the high ABV at first fades and becomes more apparent & more floral with warming 4.5
M - Milk mouth feel, nice level of smooth carbonation 4
D - Really nice drinkability for a quad, too bad I'm driving 4.5

Poured from a caged and corked 25.4 oz bottle into a tulip.
Appearance - brown, but a crimson hue against the light. Cloudy, but some carbonation apparent against the sides. Foamy tan head that recedes to a medium layer. Lacing is minimal.
Smell - sweet dark fruit; hints of toffee and caramel.
Taste - flavorful assortment of dark and stone fruit accompanied by a smooth and warming alcohol.
Feel - full bodied, creamy yet carbonated mouthfeel. The complexity of this beer grows as it finishes with a bitterness and a quiet and easy to drink alcohol burn!
Overall - aging another bottle with high expectations!

Poured from a glass into a Belgian Ale stemmed glass.

A: Dark, cloudy brown with tinges of deep red and orange. Thick head, some sediment (in bottle) can sneak out in an aggressive pour.

S: Big roasted malt body with strong notes of caramel, honey, molasses and peat. Some spicy and hoppy finish.

T: Primarily dark roasted malt body with spice and sweet on top. Big caramel notes and hints of clove and candy. Some cherry nose and a somewhat hoppy finish. Fairly boozy but very balanced considering its ABV and OG.

M: Smooth and silky, somewhat carbonated, not overly sweet or bitter. No unfortunate aftertastes. Very balanced and enjoyable to drink.

O: Another fine Belgian. Not quite as good as the Trappistes beers, specifically the Rochefort 10, but nonetheless an excellent beer. I enjoyed the malty body and tinges of cherry candy in the finish. Nice color, a bit more sediment than I was expecting (got a little in my glass, oops!).
