Served on tap at the Brick Store Pub, Decatur, GA in a St Bernardus goblet

A- Very deep brown-amber with a thick and frothy brown head that leaves excellent lacing

S- Sweet dark malt, dried raisins and plums

T- Very fruity throughout, full flavored malts with a certain roundness of feel to them, finish is lightly bitter for balance and clean, very complex and deep flavors throughout

M- Light carbonation with a heavy body, quite smooth and goes down easy

O- Just an excellent beer in every aspect, loved it

750ml bottle, shared with a couple mates and poured into a tulip.

A- Pours a murky, cloudy amber with an inch of thick, fluffy white head that takes ages to subside, nice lacing. looks very good.

S- straight up a ton of fruit, apricot, dried fig, raisins, and other dark dried fruits, a touch of allspice, some yeastiness too. smells amazing.

T- straight up its the fruits mixed with the alcohol, tastes kinda like eating fruitcake fruits after they have been soaked overnight in sherry. apricot, dried fig, raisin, peel all make an appearance, after the alcohol there is a rush of malts, sweetish and chewy, the yeast then comes through, adding clove and allspice. tastes much like the smell but with much stronger flavours. amazing.

M- thick, chewy, but with just a touch of tingling carbonation. length of flavour was not as much as i was expecting though still pretty good.

O- fantastic. just great. really good flavours, great complexity. i really like this beer

750 ml bottle

A- About 3 fingers of very foamy off-white brownish head. Well above average carbonation. Transparent dark reddish brown. Leaves nice layered lacing.

S- Lemony, a little bit floral, tiny bit of hops, malts, slight yeast smell, a little bit on the sweeter side. Not overly aromatic but definitely has a nice pleasant smell that is typical of Belgian Quads.

T- Slightly sweet, a little bit of a slight lemon taste (not too citrusy, just a slight sweet/sour lemon taste), mixed with yeast and malts. Leaves a slightly sweet bready aftertaste.

M- Light to medium bodied, definitely a little bit lighter then I thought it was going to be. Very very smooth and insanely drinkable, does not feel like 10% at all. Very well balanced.

O- This was a great Quad. While the smell and taste didn't blow me away, the mouthfeel is what made this beer fantastic. The beer was incredibly smooth and drinkable. Definitely one of the better Belgian beers that I've had. The beer was very well balanced between the bready yeastiness and slightly lemony/floral sweetness. Slightly overhyped, but still very good.

Barely translucent milk chocolate brown color with a half inch of lasting head. Poured into a St Bernardus goblet on tap at The Refuge.

Faint aroma of cocoa dust and nuts.

The taste can be described as nothing less than perfect. Full of milk chocolate without being overly sweet. Hazelnuts maybe? Belgian yeast esters definitely there. Mild molasses.

Mouth feel is also amazing. Leaves the palate clean and wanting more. Luscious and velvety. I could drink this all night, until I fall off my stool.

This is my go to beer that I have been drinking for years. Maybe not the most unique or creative beer, but a quality that is consistent and ever satisfying.

Poured from bottle into tasting glass, shared with many as this beer should be shared.

Appearance is dark amber with surprisingly little head.

Aroma is faint banana , fig, yeast.

Taste is sooo easy.

Palate is slick and soft.
What more can you want?
