Drank from my Duvel Tulip
A - Pour a hazy Golden colour with a large White head that retains well and laces.
S - Plenty of malt aromas and yeast quite strong.
T - Plenty of sweet malts up front and a good amount of yeast. Finishes with a little citrus spice and booze.
M - Lots of carbonation and a medium to full body.
D - I rate this higher than the St Bernardus version because it's much bigger and fuller.

Just had a Polish beer pretending to be Mexican with a Belgian company name that I gave a rating of 1 to overall...I have hope that this is better.
Cool, simple label. Not showing off or pretending that it is something that it isn't. Unlike the Polish "Cortes cerveza extra" that I just drank, made by "Van Pur" brewery.
Sugar in the ingredients, as is typical with Belgian tripels. I guess it kind of makes them beer and rum hybrids...
Sometimes Belgian tripels are a bit too much like brunes with little hops, a dark colour and too much of a simple malt taste. I was a bit disapointed with Kapittel, that I drank yesterday.
Blonde appearance. Aroma is so so different from the Kapittel that I had yesterday, and the Herkenrode Vesper that I had the day before. The colour shines in the light. Not such a ridiculous head as a Duvel. 5 out of 5 for appearance.
Aroma is mystical, almost like an IPA. Beautiful, yet still subtle. Peaches with a little apricot dominate. With amazing Belgian maltiness.
Incredible mouth feel. So many sensations in in the mouth and on the tongue. So smooth, yet with complex hoppy bitterness and maltiness that changes constantly for about 10 seconds. One of the best mouth feels of any beer I have tried.
Flavour is light and smooth for a tripel. And I guess it is just 7.5%. So low for a tripel. A little bit of banana coming through in the flavour, which I didn't detect in the aroma. And some peach and typical Belgian yeastiness, and quite subtle hops. The flavour doesn't quite match up to the promise that it had, from the appearance and aroma. For me this is best straight from the fridge, as it tasted better when I first tried it, and became worse as it warmed. Usually with darker beers it's the opposite.
If this brewer makes an IPA version of this, like Chouffe make an IPA version of theirs, it would be one of the best beers in the world. Unfortunately, it just falls short of the best, and would be better with more hops! Like most beers ; )

This is one my all time favorite brews. I was disappointed the last time I tasted one (from a Bernardus Xmas box last year). It's not typically in my market. It has a wonderful, fruity aroma and taste, with a significant note of pumpkin (unusual). I'll write a better note next time I get my paws on some.

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper part of a mixed 12pack. Best before March 1st 2023.
Pours a slightly hazy gold with a huge head of foam.
Smells yeasty, spicy, fruity, with notes of cloves, pepper, coriander, low hop bitterness if any. Some booze.
Taste matches the smell. Dry to my palate, again, wishing that there was more of a hop presence. Very good as is.
Good mouthfeel. Very good Tripel

Looks great, smells aigt. Taste is very crisp with a strong spice and alcohol presence, but mostly very sweet grain. The banana etc from the yeast combines with the sweetness and acts as a counterpoint to the clove and booze, it all staying very easy to drink. Good stuff. Like another review said, reminds me of Tripel Karmeliet, which is never a bad thing

Out of a mixed pack bought at the LCBO in Ontario 330ml bottle at 7.5%.
It's my last beer out of this pack of 6 and I have to say all the beers were excellent.
Poured into glass with a 2finger creamy head gold or yellow leaving a lace as you drink it.
Smooth and creamy
Not much of an alcohol taste maybe it's hidden again like most of these beers
Easy and enjoyable to drink.
Smooth with a little spicy finish.
Cheers.

Out of the bottle at St. Bernardus in Watou, Belgium.
This one is like Veronica Lake walking into the room - all eyes are on it. And when she speaks, it’s beautiful, it’s articulate, it’s Shakespeare. No Paris Hilton I’m this one, it’s all quality rip to bottom. I have to go and get on this thing like Dylan Thomas on a botttle.
Peace.

I purchased a mixed-4 pack of St. Bernardus beers recently at the Friendly Greek Bottle Shop (FGBS), but this one was not included so I sprung for the mixed sixer to be able to try this one.
From the Bottle (eeek!): "
I Pop!ped the cap to start a slow, gentle C-Line pour only to be met with light haze! 8=( I finally called it quits & allowed things to settle before holding an in-glass swirl. This action raised just better than a finger of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head with decent retention, eventually becoming a skim of wisps. Nose was totes Belgian, yo! Oranges, peaches & cantaloupe, all wrapped in old, musty newspaper found in the attic! 8=) I love this sort of thing! Color was a slightly hazy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 – 5). The taste was of spiced overripe fruit, like peaches, oranges & cantaloupes had been aged in old newspapers in the attic, sliced & served sprinkled with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger & allspice! OMFG. Plus, there was a breadiness that made me think of a fruitcake, however imprecisely. This was the kind of fruitcake that I would like – sans candied fruit & substituting in peaches & mandarin oranges, especially. Mmm. The musty paperiness (or was it a papery mustiness?) was a double-plus bonus. If I had been looking for a Holiday beer, this would have sufficed on its own. As a Belgian Tripel, it was even better! It really made my purchase of the mixed-sixer a winner. It slowly took on a slightly better clarity, but never fully clarified. Finish was dry, but not gasping. If I had access to singles, I might try aging this one. As it stood, I was satisfied. YMMV.
